IO is the location where everyone was heading. "AO" means "Area Of Operation" in military jargon that was mentioned by Souther. "Open a wide beam to all ships in the AO". So he was telling the COMS Officer to open a channel to all ships in the "Area Of Operation" which were both the MCRN and UNN ships near IO! Outstanding reaction as usual. love seeing the fury when characters do evil things. The show does do well with showing how things are with humanity, bot the good and bad!
YAAAAASSSSS!!! So good! My all-time favorite episode (together with S3E6 of course) of any show or movie, only equalled by other The Expanse episodes.
Just FYI: the Jupiter AO is the "area of operations," or the general UN/MCR battlefield area around Jupiter. The Rocinante is going to IO, Jupiter's first moon.
And Io isn't an acronym, despite being pronounced like I-O. It's just a Greek deity name like many celestial objects.
This episode never gets old! So fantastic. When the next episode aired (probably one of the best episodes of the entire series!) it was announced that SciFy was cancelling The Expanse. Worst two weeks ever until Amazon picked up the show when E8 aired.
i love you guys, but making us wait for 3x06 is SOOOOO MEAN!!
Yeah, that's COLD BLOODED. ;)
RIP Admiral Souther, one of the best men in the entire UNN fleet. He was too good and honorable, that's sadly what got him killed.
And so it begins...! 🚀
3x06 now pls
Wooooo!
There it is!
