As a person who knows nothing about the game I think if you start talking about characters in the game would definitely be a spoiler so please don't

M
Mathies · January 29, 2022

i think Jinx was driven to kidnap Caitlyn mostly because of the surgery. Sure, Vi walking away with her on the bridge is mostly what caused those hallucinations, but that's what really drove her mad. She might even have thought it was ACTUALLY Vi and Cait doing that to her.

Suhhh Dude · January 28, 2022

Do you guys think it would be considered season 2 spoilers to comment on how characters exist in the game?

R
Rinne · January 28, 2022

Possibly, Warwick, Victor etc are pretty spoilery.

i love how in so many of your reactions now you just have to sit there and think for a few minutes at the end lol these shows are TOO MUCH

Details about sky: (1) She is dead just like the plant in a few episodes earlier. (2) She is the girl from viktor's back story who saw viktor playing with the ship. She left in the story because someone called her, and that someone called her 'sky'. So, she is from under city too.

I feel like I'm the only one that actually understood Mel's intentions last episode when she suggested making weapons, it's because she knew that they needed weapons ready JUST IN CASE, she never said used them right away or start a war, she had just found out that someone (Jinx) from the undercity was making bombs out of scraps, and she knew they had the gemstone, she was afraid the undercity would attack soon and if they need, Piltover needed weapons to defend themselves. Mel has always been about making sure Piltover is safe and prosperous, that's why she went with Jayce in the first place, he was the only one capable of pushing Piltover into the future, but that never meant she wanted war, and it was never her first option. And knowing that you guys already watched the finale, I can safely say, in the end she was right, because as it would have it, the undercity fired the first shot.

M
Mathies · January 29, 2022

yeah but her mom does bring up a good point, even if you think you're just building them for defense, weapons WILL be used if you make them. someone is gonna get a hold of them and use them for their own agenda.

One of the many differences I find between you guys and other reactors: - You are constantly worried and "suffering" about the characters and what may happen to them. It doesn't seem you let yourself be excited about the action scenes ( not that it's a bad thing, I actually love that about You...it may also be an external thing, internally, You are most likely feeling a bunch of things at the same time)

Idk if anyone has mentioned this yet but i think it would be pretty fun if you'd react to league cinematics that contain arcane characters, they don't contain spoilers to my knowledge and it would just be a handful of them that are each 3~5min long

It's been quite the ride. See you folks on sunday for one last suffering session.

The therapist who analyzed the scene also pointed out that Jinx shot to separate Caitlyn and Vi, not hurt them. My little sister and I Have about the same age difference as Vi and Jinx. If she shot at me, even if she didn’t just kill dozens of people around me, I’d walk away too. I wouldn’t try to talk to her in that state. When the stakes are so high like they are in this show, it’s easy to apply our rational perspectives onto characters who aren’t doing what we want 😩 I didn’t want her to walk away either, I was just thinking “Can you both just talk please!!!” Lmao

I saw a comment on youtube suggesting that there's two ways to look at what Vi is saying when she's telling Caitlyn about how she ran away. The first is the obvious one: Silco was the monster, and Vi failed to protect her sister from him. The other one is Vi was the monster. She ran away rather than stay and comfort Powder because that anger scared her; and because she went somewhere else to calm down, her sister was left alone, emotionally vulnerable, and unguarded.

i think the reason the undercity is getting worse under silco is due to his ambition. vander didn't have any ambition to rise up against piltover anymore after seeing the destruction it brought, which is why silco came to hate him. people were still suffering, but less. remaining stagnant was worth it to vander, which i can understand. i can't blame silco either for his ambitions, it's just a dark truth that achieving his goals in that environment, and with those resources, leads to an even worse situation for the people there. he's undeniably causing so much harm, but the injustice him and everyone in the undercity face because of the topsiders had me sympathizing for him and just hoping his cause can ultimately help the undercity eventually. give a bad guy good motivation and i'm immediately writing dissertations on why he's right, actually. lol

Silco's idea is that the suffering is momentary. If they were able to achieve their goal, then they can save their future aka their children. Oftentimes, villains seem evil because their thoughts are usually towards the future and gave up the present. Which isn't always a bad idea. For Silco, stagnation is basically giving up the future. Change will always cause pain and suffering somewhere. Whether its right or wrong is up for debate.

Also i just like to point out the parallel between Viktor's past where he fell trying to catch up to his toy boat, and this episode where thanks to how the hexcore changed his body, he was ablc to outrun the boats in the background !

R
ReactorHero · January 27, 2022

guys plz let them watch "Ranking of Kings"! omg

Élina Kressmann · January 27, 2022

Loved your reaction !! It's so good to see you theorise and analyse the show like that, and it's such a great show for that ! Also smal detail : Mel didn't change her mind, she wants to make hextech weapon but only to defend Piltover in case the undercity would weaponize the gem they stole ! She doesn't want to attack them with it unlike her mother … and unlike Jayce that was influenced by her mother, and Vi fuiled with anger and ressentement towards Silco

B
Brogan · January 28, 2022

Yeah I think the thing with Mel is she's from a family of warlords, so shes well aware of the kind of threats she could be up against. Until you learn her backstory in this episode, it really can look like she's pushing for war when asking Jayce to build weapons. And maybe she even is a bit, 'weapons are always used' and all that. Just great complexity for most every character in the show, nobody is as one dimensional as you'd expect, I love it

sand_fl · January 27, 2022

sorry for so many comments, I'm commenting as i'm watching the reaction, anyway, regarding your comment about the end of the episode milena said she expected jinx to show up but if you watch it again (maybe you already noticed when editing) you can actually see jinx on the right corner if i'm not mistaken

J
Jacob · January 27, 2022

Technically this means Jinx has seen Caitlyn naked before Vi got to.
