For someone who doesn't talk, Appa is a great storyteller :(
if you’re looking for jolly, happy moments in Season 2 you will be very, very, very disappointed. That’s all I’ll say about that.
I vividly remember the like 8 week real life period Appa was gone bc these only aired weekly. Me and my entire group of friends in high school were visibly depressed lmao it was so hard waiting to see the reunion 😭
This episode won the Genesis Award from the Human Society for it's depiction of animal cruelty. Makes me cry every time.
I can typically hold it together through most of the episode, but the flashbacks to the air temple when Appa is small is what always gets me teary eyed.
For me the hardest part to watch was the circus because animal cruelty like that actually happens in real life.
