Jon hamm does a lot of improv/comedy parts. He seems to always be up for small comedic roles
On Mr Cousineaus acting career vs his skill as a teacher. Hollywood actor is one of the most competitive fields in the world. There has to be plenty of talented actors that never make it big. Just not enough roles.
I was just waiting for Jon Hamm's cameo because I figured it would blow your mind. If you think about it, it's a very reasonable fantasy for Barry to have: Who else would you fantasize about associating with after Making It as an actor, if not him? Fuches is an 'honorary uncle'. He was a close friend of Barry's father, but is not a blood relative. The monologue Barry was performing is from the film "Glengarry Glen Ross" (@Subwoolfer already posted a link to the scene itself). It's actually a very famous scene in the acting/theater world due to its unusual history: The movie is based on a play of the same title, but that monologue isn't in the play. It was written just for the movie. But it's SUCH a famous part of the movie that everybody expects it to be in the play. So every time the play is revived it's a whole big controversy in the theater world of whether or not they will add that speech to the play to appease the movie fans, or stick to the original script and risk getting a lot of angry audience members.
Love how into this show they are already. Knew they'd love it
season 1 (and 2) has the best episode cliffhangers, it's no surprise that the show is so popular.
Just as I get home. It's NoHo time 🫶🏻
I forgot he's not even in this episode
