After multiple rewatches I kinda feel like yuji snaps out of the hunting and killing cog mentality once mahito starts acting like a little child throwing dirt at him. The snow motif disappears and yuji shows mahito mercy by punching the ground instead of killing him. At least one interpretation.

“Todo’s imagination” genuinely took me out of the deep depression of the previous 3 episodes of this arc. I just started laughing endlessly out of depression. 15:58 I mean just look at this kick man😭😭too good.

Girls .. I understood what you meant when you said Mahito is the least interesting villain but on the contrary, he is the most important the most story driving villain. And to be frank without him, the show is just straight up not as interesting.. now that being said, he sucks and I hate him, but he’s also made the show 10 times better than it would’ve been otherwise and I know you would agree. I’m just saying.

Todo's fakeout with Boogie Woogie is a reference to Isaac Netero's iconic line, "You believe I cannot pray with a single arm? A prayer comes from the heart." Gege hasn't confirmed this himself, but he has said that he's a fan of HXH and used specific HXH manga panels as inspirations for moments in JJK, so most fans treat the moment as a tribute.
if you guys haven't started season 3 yet, keep watching the intros for season 2 all the way through the last couple episodes, there's a couple small easter egg changes like the intros in season 1 unfortunately I believe they stopped doing that in season 3 from what I remember

It's very interesting how you are talking about Yuji's and Nanami's "cog mentality" since the hidden inventory arc acknowledge that part of the current jujutsu society but ended with all three of the current special grades choosing different paths to break it. In particular Satorou's ideal of creating a new generation of strong sorcerers while protecting their youth completely falling apart due to him being sealed is just beyond heartbreaking. The Shibuya kind of sets the "power scaling" of the show, the first grade sorcerers, Nanami, Mei Mei and Kusakabe, don't stand a chance against Mahito, Jogo and Sukuna, but Todo and Yuji "... are the exception" possibly. The sealing of Satorou completely shifts the scales of the battle and the clans and higher ups are no where to be seen. On a very different side not the "imagery" of the bunnies and wolves remind of the Apollo, the god, and Daphne, the nymph, in Metamorphosis by Ovidius where Apollo's unrequited love for Daphne ending in him chasing her being described like a bunny and a wolf, where I imagine unrequited loved turns to unrequited hate? idk I can't patch it together, just at thought.

I couple of things I wanted to say before but I didn't (this is spoiler free, I care too much about that): in episode 2x17 when Sukuna displays his domain the narrator aludes that using a domain without sealing it in a barrier is like painting in the air without a canvas. The narrator is trying to tell that even for the jujutsu laws and logic Sukuna has surpassed the limits of his own reality. In the Gojo flashback Gojo told Megumi the 2 heads of the clan Gojo and Zenin fought eachother and both died, insinuating Megumi used Mahoraga and not even a weilder of the limitless technique and 6 eyes could defeat it. Sukuna by defeating Mahoraga as proven to be one level above Gojo's ancestor. So no, I don't think Mahito forced Sukuna's hand by displaying his domain a milisecond. Sukuna's face is the face of someone amused by the audacity of this bitch to even atempt this, so Sukuna let it slide IMO.
Mahito was very young, and lacks very much emotion, just like a little kid, so when Mahito first feeling Fear, he act like kid in this episode

"Revealing your technique makes it stronger" is a concept that does not apply to Todo as lying makes it so much harder to predict. In the end he basically told Mahito "Hey dumbass I can use my technique without clapping" and because of that lie Yuji was able to finish him off. He really is an amazing Jujutsu sorcerer

And so, though Mahito was the one who was supposed to go trough Metamorphosis, he also forced Yuji to go trough one too. In a way, Mahito succeded in breaking Yuji and taking his main goal away from him; give people proper deaths. Yet, Mahito failed to consider what would be left in Yuji after he took his conviction away: a Mahito for curses. Yuji accepted the role Mahito gave him, but alas we saw that Mahito ended up being the one who could not accept his own philosophy. The moment he became the one who was hunted, he could only cry for his life.
This is random but the other day I saw an edit of Megumi on Instagram calling him potential man and I was my laughing off and then I remembered some of the comments you girls made about him and I was laughing even harder.
