Dude... Todo is cool and all but honestly, shout out to Shimazaki, Rheon, Gleeson, Suwabe, Nakao/Young, Dafoe and countless others for giving us all in the set/recording booth for the most hatefull, ragebaiting ahh performances in fiction. I can hate them all I want but without them I couldn't enjoy this works of art the same. Thank you to the villians and the ppl who give them life, pieces of shit.

I absolutely love how much JJK can make ppl feel emotions they never thought they would for a anime about exorcising cursed spirits. It goes deeper than the surface and I am truly a fan for life! I will show my children this show (when they are old enough of course). Our ladies are ready to jump in the fight with our boys! haha

Also the comment section on the last post confused me as well and I reads the manga lol. It trully felt like it was mix of anime only fans, manga fans and people who haven't even watched the show and just talked for the sake of talking

The lighting change when Todo entered the screen was so well done. Truly a breath of fresh energy, hope, positivity, light that was needed in this arc and after the last two episodes. Seeing Kyoto guys in general brougt back a little bit of season 1 feeling and changed a tone of this part of the season a little bit and it felt so good (even the first scene with Gojo) especially if you binged last few ep like I did lol. Also Yuji taking on Nanami's path, wishes and job and him somewhat living in Yuji now is so beutiful and important. Him and Yuji really had a special bond from the start of the show

I knew this episode would be healing for you guys after those last two lmao ! crazy how much todo's entrance immediately brings us out of absolute depression. gege really did his entrance so well

Even if villains like Mahito or Sukuna are "less interesting" than the type of plotting, devious villains like Geto or the Brain, I'm glad the series has both. While I also tend to prefer the latter, I don't think Mahito and Sukuna lack depth. They both serve as examples of JJK's theme of living according to one's ideals. IMO the series both hypothesizes and refutes that there's no such thing as evil; the villains simply live according to their own morals and values. This is as true for Mahito as it is for Geto. In breaking Yuji down, Mahito feels that he lives up to what it means to be a curse, and is empowered to land a black flash. Sukuna is something of an antithesis to Gojo; "the Strongest" unbound by Gojo's ideals that formed as the result of losing Geto. Despite being rather straightforward, force-of-nature type villains, I think they're as thought-provoking as the others.

See the issue with the comments regarding last episode is that some people are commenting with some context already from the manga.. look 👀 I’m also to blame for that but maybe.. eh.. just maybe if something like this ever happens again, we will just refer back to this moment and just comment with emojis only next time lol

There's just something so simplistic about Mahito as a Villain that I love. Because the genuine hatred people have for his existence is the exact reason of his existence lol. He is the curse of human hatred after all. (I hate his guts aswell btw)

Todo‘s Black Flash had no effect on Mahito because he has no way to damage his soul. Just like in the fight between Mahito & Nanami, Todo is incapable of doing lasting harm to Mahito because he‘ll just reform his soul‘s and therefore his body‘s shape.

My favourite part of Yuji remembering Nanami is that they included the manga panel rather than drawing it in the anime’s art style. It just makes me so emotional for some reason. Also Miwa’s sobbing as the Kyoto group talks is so heartbreaking and never fails to make me tear up

Also the black flash this episode by yuji is by far my favorite one in the series. The emotional music, the single tear from yuji and the flashback to how Yuji remembers nanami was just too perfect. I cry every time I rewatch it.

Giving hope and taking it away does also fall in the rule books of television coz it plays with the viewer's emotional aspect and keeps them engaged no matter the cost .

I know we hate Mahito but I always respect it because I have never hated a fictional character so much especially on my first watch. The voice actor killed it also

Mahito is truly a great villain lol. While watching the show I wished for his death so badly but looking back at it he really was a terrifying and entertaining villain that keeps you on your toes. He has so much MEGUMI and adapts to battle so well that he felt like a main character lol. You can see him growing and learning throughout the battle even faster than our mcs. Honestly Mahito scared me far more than Sukuna did

A lot of catharsis this episode I found. Todo picking up the pieces of Yuji. A glimmer of hope in the darkness regarding Kugisaki, a possibility she could survive. The last words and wishes of Mechamaru, finally confessing his feelings to Miwa. The Kyoto school inbound. Yuji and Todo landing black flashes on Mahito. And of course, Yuji saying goodbye to Nanami, and promising to take his suffering forward with him. All really gorgeous scenes.

Todo was just quoting Erwin Smith from Attack on Titan :D

Okay, but why nobody talking about Maki being burnt alive?

Todo igniting a bit of light and humor to Shibuya. Just one of those people that lightens the situation no matter how severe. I did like Mahito's dialogue with Yuji when he's beating him up however because i think it's reality at its rawest. Kudos to the voice actor because he really makes you hate him even more. Amidst the chaos in the comments from last episode i forgot to mention the usage of chairs in Nobara's death scene was a throwback to the conversation she had with Yuji after they killed Choso's brothers: "There are only so many seats open in my life, and I don't want to let my heart be swayed by anyone who's not sitting in one of them. Is that cold? Well, I guess there are also people like you who bring their own seat and sit down."

I may not have been a fan of the exact way the show presented Nobara getting taken out last episode, but the feeling of getting lifted out of despair by Todo's speech was SO vivid and memorable. It's rare an author can pull off emotional whiplash that hard in a POSITIVE direction.
