I do love the mirroring between this episode and episode 2. As you said she is making the same arguments that Lakshmi/the others did ("You don't even talk to them?", "Why did you do something to break my girlfriend/relative?", etc).

An actual S tier show, a show made for reactions and I’m not sure if they know who Bill Hader is but he’s a damn genius.
You extreme hated of the hive is so funny. I am anti-hive, but I disagree that they are being deliberately manipulative. I think of the Hive more like a virus. It has a set of rules that it follows, the most important being 1) self preservation and 2) making the remaining humans happy, and if the latter would endanger the former then they defer to protecting themselves. Zosia kissing Carol *could* be manipulative, but it could also be that from their point of view that Carol was incredibly vulnerable and lonely in that moment, and giving her that connection would make her happy, which, well, it kind of did. So I don't think there's nefarious scheming we're not seeing. It's just kind of evil in the way a virus is evil.
was coming here to say the same, only because every other show theyre so open minded to things like that or 'the other side' and so keyed in on a lot of the little details but in this theyre generational hive haters 😂
Off-topic to this episode in particular, but does anyone know where Lola learned Spanish? I've watched them for a long time now but I'm curious as to how she got so good at it.
I believe she said that she used to watch Telenovelas as a kid. I guess they air those in Siberia.
I still don't understand why it's being called "manipulation". They left Carol after she drugged Zosia to protect themselves, how can you call that manipulation if Carol was the one who initiated the entire thing? Also, if they wanted her to be isolated, why didn't they suggest to Diabete to leave Las Vegas, or why would they offer Manusous a ride to Carol? We also know they can't lie, and they repeatedly mention they love Carol, so it stands to reason they wouldn't want to hurt her.
They did suggest that Diabate leave with them FYI.
This show was such a banger. And so ripe for discussion, not only the mystery/drama of the show but for the nature of humanity. Can't wait for season 2

First time in a while I got so hooked on a show that I ended up finishing the show on my own instead of with your full reactions. Can't wait to watch this tomorrow but I have some doctor thing in the morning and I can't drink water for like 10 hours 💀 so I better go to sleep before I start thinking about how I'm going to dehydrate.
