“theyre already bad enough imagine if they could fly” i have such bad news for you 😆
There’s a theory that the author, Gege, made the last words unknown in order to sneak in doomed yaoi without having the inevitable backlash of actually putting that kind of thing in a shounen manga. Gege is also openly a fan of mangakas who are known for writing BL. This idea makes a lot of the jjk fanboys angry so tread carefully
hearing these ladies get into the finer details of curse techniques gives me life :)
I just love when the girls are into a show look at the passion in the discussion
So a clarification, they stated in ep 1 or 2 of season 1 that Sukuna’s technique will eventually be engraved in Yuji’s body given time. Issue is our boy has had sukuna for what? 6 months? Not enough time that is for sure
I don’t know how many people mentioned it already but episode 17 has to be the blue ray version. Due to time constraints the episode got rushed and the blue ray is the original intended experience as it adds quite a few extra minutes of animation. Again, the blue ray is a MUST WATCH
My two favorite ladies are First Grade reactors!!!
Far and away the weakest episode of this season, maybe even the whole series for me. It's not without it's merit but usually one I skip when seeing reactions to it. Thankfully it's only up from here.
What’s weird to me is Gojo just stands there and aura-farms while Jogo, Choso, and Hanami just start killing people in front of him. I understand he can’t use his domain but guy literally just stood there and quipped jokes when the curses couldn’t hit him while they were slaughtering innocents.
Milena saying "I understand" to every wild thing Lola said was hilarious :D
lmfao not Milena shipping Gojo and Geto! She's a true fan
Just to make sure, if no one told you. If you currently aren't, please watch the blue ray version of this season. It upped quality, removed annoying filters and most importantly added about five minutes to episode 17.
i saw a comment on one of the earlier posts that said crunchyroll silently implemented the blu ray episodes onto the site. so it shouldnt be an issue anymore
Oh right, this episode starts to introduce some of the best music in anime
"I was in love with you my whole life" DING DING DING DING DING !!!!!!! CORRECT ANSWER !!!!!!
Is anybody ever truly prepared to shart? I think not.
next episode is so good #needthat
Y’all are so smart makes your discussion so much more fun to listen to.
Yeah, this episode was kinda meh compared to those surrounding it. And I didn't gel with narrator here unlike with HxH one in Chimera Ants arc. This here felt like parody of it a bit.
I think it’s quite romantic to let Gojo’s last words just be theirs. Both of them were used by society so at the end they got something between them. It’s also ridiculously good shipping fuel especially with Geto’s reaction being a blush and telling Gojo to curse him… in a movie where Yuta had cursed Rika at the end of his life because he loved her and didn’t want to lose her I also forgot Gojo doesn’t tell the curses that this is loser shit in the sub lmao. The wait for the next episodes feels so long already
who up being clever
I was the one who wrote the comment about gojos last words to geto😭. I commented about it cause you girls didn’t theorize on that in the movie discussion! I’m sorry Milena😭😭if it makes you feel better, I crashed out just like you when I found out we won’t ever know lol🥲 The insight I shared there helps you to create an idea of what the words could’ve been tho
Lola and Milena are.... clever!
Yea, Gojo’s words to Geto have remained a mystery, but it was revealed by one of the voice actors that it was a 3-word phrase that has been said in the series before. Most people take this to mean that the words are “I love you”
I feel like you girs really understand the way Gege Akutami's author brain works because you are so good at reading between the lines of his work and understanding what he likes to emphasise
Normal villain group meet-up (the Phantom Troupe for example) is usually a dark moody place. JJK villains meet up in the chillest places possible like a beach, a family restaurant or a playground lol
That end discussion was so damn funny lol 😭
Yes, you correctly interpreted the comment - the author purposely said he won’t reveal what Gojo said to Geto in the movie. Also yes, the manga ended
Yes , you are correct
It’s time... good luck 😅
DOUBLE EPISODE DROP PLEASE I BEGGGG
I think at this point it is safe to give some context on the season and what the animators had to go through. It is no secret that the animation industry has extremely terrible work conditions for the animators in general. Burn out at a young age, long hours, brutal time crunches. Generally speaking, when you watch a show with bad animation, it isn't that they don't have talent, it is that they are simply not given the time or resources to give it justice. No artist wants to output bad art. Season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen after Hidden Inventory is a prime example of this. We basically had the Avengers of animators working on this season, led by an amazing director, Gosso. And when I say the Avengers, I mean it. Some of the best talent around, and some joined simply to work with Gosso. And the time crunch was absolutely fucking brutal. You will see some episodes with some janky animation, or strange cuts, or this specific episode, which was basically sacrificed (given less time and attention) so that future episodes could have those resources. The animators were under terrible conditions. A few of them spoke out on twitter, or posted about how brutal the situation was, and how they were not happy with their results. One talented individual even declared he is never working for Mappa again. Despite all this, I would still say Season 2 is a flawed masterpiece when it comes to production. The highs are so high, and their vision was astounding. They were simply not given the resources to fully implement it. Thankfully, season 3 conditions were a lot better. This is just one of the largest examples of the brutal conditions the workforce endures under capitalism and Japan.
I would like to say that even though the animation industry is brutal, it is definitely not the only one. I think it's easier to see the consequences of overwork in anime, videogame, manga or other media industry which helps bring attention to the issue. However there are many many many other jobs that go through even worse conditions and no one even notices or bats an eye because the product is not in front of you. I think crunch and overwork in general is a global issue among many fields that has gotten only worse and worse every year with the increasing competition and awful job market. Workers have no power against the big corporations however because they simply need the job to survive.
1 day closer to ep 9, I’ve rewatched it a million times but I’m not ready to rewatch it with you girls (I’m gonna die)

The most unserious villains. Hanging around in beaches and parks while planning the most devious crimes.
