One Piece (Live Action) 2x02 Reaction

i wish luffy's actor would get into some acting classes for season 3, the cheeky/knowing smile that's classic to luffy's character looks creepy on him. he hasn't gotten it right once unfortunately. i know luffy is a challenging character to play so i don't want to dog on him too much, but leaving the final casting decision to Oda, someone who doesn't know anything about live action, was a mistake.

In the anime Luffy regularly gets yelled at and slapped around by the crew for his shenanigans lol. Like, they DO get pissed at him. I wish the live action version showed more of that.

Luffy is canonically lucky 😂 he charges into unfavorable circumstances with only the reasssurance that he is 'lucky' so itll all probably work out

I love the names of the episodes…”Good Whale Hunting” lol Need me one of them Laboon plushies with the janky Jolly Roger!

please don't read or listen too much the comments. just because people have read or watched the anime doesn't mean they automatically are capable of understanding a narrative. I think it's been proven again and again how you two clearly have understanding of storytelling and emotional intelligence enough to experience a story and understanding it very well. it's fine when comments help you remember what you forget or what you're wrong about (the made up mother thing) but they should shut the hell up about the rest.

Monkey is the family surname, and D. is a sort of family middle name, and because in Japanese you say the surname first, it is Monkey D. Garp and Monkey D. Luffy

What makes One piece so special is how it will even take the time to tell you the story of a whale and actually have it be heavy with emotion. Laboon's story being as good as it was, was such a shock to me when I saw it in the anime and the Live Action did such a fantastic job at retelling it.

Loving how they are appreciating Ussop. <3

Back in season 1, during luffy’s flashback, you can hear the song that the crew played in this episode! :) Binks brew carries so much emotional value for the story of one piece, I cry easily whenever I hear it lol

Oh my dear laboon😭 luffy’s very dumb but he always knows in the end what people need the most :)

Labooooooon

SPOILERS GIRLS DONT READ ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- They are going to clock Ace so quick lmao

Another fun fact in the anime crocus lives inside laboon 😂

Fun fact girls, by watching this episode you now know more about the One Piece than ppl who have watched 700 episodes of the anime 😂
