About the names: - Gojo and Geto are the family names. So them calling each other by their first names is special. - our trio calls each other by their last names (Fushiguro, Itadori). Gojo calls his students by their first name (Megumi, Yuji, etc). It can be a bit confusing. Regarding your discussion about sorcerers’ parents - there isn’t a “rule” that if you’re a sorcerer your parents have to be. This is never explicitly touched upon, which is why I’m clarifying, as I think some of your points rely on this being true as an argument.

Okay i have to apolize for whatever i said about jjk. Though i don't really think i said shitty things about it other that it was boring to me. But hey only idiots don't change their minds. I always have loved jjk 0 but i have read it before the anime was even out and before getting really in the main story. So when there was no Yuta nor more story about Geto/Gojo it really was not interesting to me. But it was years ago and watching the anime now was very enjoyable. I don't think i loved s1 as much as you i'll be honest i couldn' care less about the kyoto students except my boy Todo and Mai and Maki storyline is very good. But season 2 was amazing and considering how much you love the characters you will love it as well. And here i was supposed to stop my subscription after pluto ended oh well

S2 gonna be epic

The theme of love is so prominent in jjk and especially here with Yuta and Rika and Gojo and Geto. ‘Love is the most twisted curse of all’ being shown in Yuta cursing Rika physically and Geto having cursed Gojo emotionally is so good. Gege definitely gets his licks for a lot but jjk 0 imo is some of the best storytelling he’s done

Idk if you noticed but they showed Nanami obtaining his consecutive black flash record in the movie

I feel like this movie was a thousand times more impactful for u guys because u actually paid attention during season 1 and picked up on everything that was going on with geto and how many times they mentioned Yuta so this movie was like a reward for u for waiting for so long

This is supplementary information. The Gojo family is portrayed as descendants of Michizane Sugawara. Michizane Sugawara was a real historical figure and is considered one of Japan's three greatest vengeful spirits. This film revealed that Yuta Okkotsu is also a descendant of Michizane Sugawara. In other words, Suguru Gojo and Yuta Okkotsu are distant relatives.

Gojos last words to Geto will always be one of the biggest mysteries in jjk lol (imo). I was lowkey obsessed with this topic when I read the manga and then again when the movie came out lmao. The author has never revealed what they were, the only people who know are the ones who worked on the movie and Gojo & Geto’s voice actors. Gojo’s voice actor said in an interview that the words were actually written in the script so he could say them directly to Geto’s VA and get a more natural reaction/response from him. Geto’s voice actor said the words would make anyone’s heart “clench,” but to the actual characters they were kind of “embarrassing”, because Gojo would’ve never said something like that back in their teenage years. They also shared that Gojo’s heart is supposed to be “naked” in that moment, so the set up to record was accommodated in a way for them to act such an “intimate” scene. The people working behind this show are so passionate! :) I also highly recommend you girls reading (if you’re interested) the movie’s light novel after finishing Season 2! It’s such a beautiful and more detailed retelling of the events of this movie. I truly loved this discussion, probably my favorite out of all your reactions to the show so far, and omg you have no idea how excited I am for you to start Season 2!! Thanks for the reactions❤️

i think one of the downfalls of watching JJK and having an excited fanbase is the sheer fucking paragraphs of info dumps after each episode or movie and so much of it is unnecessary or just fluff lol, not to mention people just lowkey spoiling

You can tell why Todo is so obsessed with Okkotsu during season 1. Imagine Todo asks Yuta his type, and Rika comes out. Definitely not boring!

You aren't wrong about the names, for the most part everyone is called by their last name so when first names are randomly tossed in it can get confusing.

This was everything ;-; finally Yuta is here!!!! I can't wait for the first few episodes of season 2... Fun fact, the music that was playing in the scene where Gojo goes to kill Geto is called "This is Pure Love" :') ...

Also, for all the things I dislike about JJK( which is a lot tbh) I gotta admit that this “side” story is actually pretty good. I don’t think this a controversial opinion.. or maybe it is.. I guess depends who you ask but Yuta is a way better character than the main trio tbh. I think it was mentioned in the comments that Yuta at one point was on the run to be the main MC instead of Yuji.. and low key I wish he was. I won’t say much but his story in my opinion is way better than what we got so far ʅ（◞‿◟）ʃ also with JJK zero I learned that I enjoyed more this anime when Yuji and others are not on screen lmaoo. But that’s just me.. anyways, zero is definitely one highlights in this anime/manga.

Also another cool little detail: The weapon Geto was using here against Yuta was the same one Maki and Todo used against Hanami (Forest cursed spirit) in s1. That's why Maki said: This feels disgusting to use though when she was using it.

Perfect as always girls welcome back! Just a few things for more clarity and my thoughts on Gojo/Geto - In Season 1 Geto has stitches on his head, here he doesn't - Gojo doesn't sense Geto in S1 because Geto seems to be acting a lot more prudent to avoid leaving any residuals. Overall S1 geto seems to be much more calculated, cunning and calm than the movie. Not easy to catch him. He even didn't put the veils himself in s1 and asked Mahito to do it to avoid leaving any traces of himself. - Geto cannot absorb and use Sukuna. Sukuna is not a cursed spirit. He's a human who turned himself into a cursed object. The reason he's called the king of "curses" is because he's very skilled at using Jujutsu (better translation would be "king of cursing") - Gojo might seem playful and careless at times, but in reality we can see he's a bit too demanding underneath and all his careless actions are actually him sneakily having an alternative demanding motive. The reason he sent Panda and Inumaki is that he knew Geto wouldn't kill them. Geto has a lot of respect for sorcerers so he would never kill them. Their injuries would set Yuta off to unlock his full potential. Just a very twisted way from Gojo to unlock Yuta's full power. This is why Geto says "unlike you I am kind". So Geto could easily kill them but chose to go easy on them. - Yuta is clearly not normal. He's a powerful sorcerer, that's why he could use his denial of Rika's death to unwillingly turn her into a curse. That's not something any sorcerer can do. - The attack area before Geto's attack was evacuated by jujutsu officials. So no humans were caught in the fight. - Geto was banished from Jujutsu high because as said here, he killed more than 100 people. Can't wait for season 2 :)

Just to clear up some confusion; Sukuna isn't a cursed spirit, he was born a human 1000 years ago and at some point became a collection of cursed objects (They mention this super early in season 1). Geto wouldn't be able to absorb him from Yuji. Great reaction, cant wait for season 2!

Yuta became my favorite character from the moment he appeared in this movie The JJK creator wrote this story first as a one shot and then the publisher decided to pick up the series and then he created Yuji and the S1 crew’s story after that So if you see people claim the “true Main Character” or “my MC” in regards to Yuta they aren’t technically wrong
