The scene was a bit weird in my opinion but yeah i agree with Lola the women gave up the kid because even though Epsilon is good to them they still believe that humans will be better parents. They like Epsilon sure and they think he's good to the kids but they still don't view robots as equals. Like some people will befriend you while they still have prejudices about your race because you are nice. ( here the women really find Epsilon nice and all but he's still a robot y'know) And when they are caught saying something racist they will be like "oh no but you, it is different, you are not like them" . This shit happened to my dad a bit too often sadly. Anyway i don't even know if my point is clear here lol i kinda feel like i lost it

Pluto keeps showing that even kind robots like Epsilon are not fully respected as parents or guardians by humans. The staff may love Epsilon, but society still treats him as "less legitimate" than humans. So when the social worker says "This child needs human parents", mentioning the financial donations for the orphanage, the staff just hesitate instead of immediately treating it as an abduction. I think they truly believed that Wassily living with real parents would make him happier. The experience from real orphanage workers would be nice to hear. I bet they always have the feeling that they have to let go their love for the children and give them the chance to real parents. But I don't know.

Recommend to watch Orb: Movement of the Earth next. It's very meaningful and touching story that based on true story during Middle Ages of Europe.

Epsilon's death hits really hard. His love for the children is just incredible. The story behind Abullah and Bora is hard to guess, in my opinion, but once you know it, it becomes obvious because the hints are everywhere throughout the whole show. Rewatching the show is just a great experience, just like with Monster. At least I don't have to post a big comment next episode, because the show literally tells you everything, unlike Monster, where you still had to connect scenes from multiple episodes together. I'm so excited for the next episode! Your theories were really interesting to hear too.
