HOPE THE DENTIST WENT WELL MILENA!!
i love your reactions i can´t wait for you to see the shibuya arc
I think I missed something in one of their prior discussions but, are the girls in a rush to finish the season for scheduling reasons or something else?
yes, lola had a trip to japan I believe
Finally got to watch this I love megumi
Generational juju stroll it really peaked here
Megumi was around 6-7 years old in first grade. His memory and understanding of that conversation about his dad may not be as reliable as we think. Also clarifying the curse that was killing people from the bridge was always there and contained sukunas finger. The curse woke up again in June when Yuji ate sukunas finger. Mahito sent the curse wombs to go retrieve sukunas finger.
I'm honestly surprised the girls didn't figure out why Megumi's dad left his clan. They have all the pieces. I think it's their strong hatred for absentee parents that's stopping them from seeing the picture.
The better the reason for him leaving the clan, the worse it becomes to sell your kid back into that clan, devoid of any other information the series has yet to provide.
I like the set up of Gojo telling Megumi that he'll never surpass even Nanami if he doesn't change his mindset. When Mahito used domain expansion on Nanami, Nanami called it the pinnacle of Jujutsu Sorcery he never mastered. Now Megumi followed Gojo's isntructions and achieved a domain expansion, thus surpassing Nanami.
You were right the first time Lola. Megumin was holding SOMETHING ELSE back. Took gojos advice and dug deep to try his domain instead
We've seen two characters, Megumi and Mahito, achieve domain expansion on-screen, and both kind of did it in the heat of the moment. It's not really something you practice and learn, if so I think Nanami would have mastered it. It keeps coming back to Gojo's statement about talent. A lot of powerups in the series are more about gaining a deeper understanding of cursed energy than training. Todo leading Yuji to black flash is another good example, it's not like they worked together for very long, but Todo explained channeling cursed energy in a way that Yuji was able to understand, because they're best friends of course.
The principal said, “teaching is about making people realize things,” and realizing things is often all it takes to level up as a sorcerer. It’s a convenient, but also creative way to have the fighting and the character development directly linked to each other at all times.
"I'm going to muder them...allegedly" lol don't know if allegedly works in this context but love the effort xD
Girls just a reminder to watch 'The Godfather II' before season 2
I think JJK improves visually so much as time goes but this episode in season 1 is still so beautifully animated and I really like the colour palette
I agree that the animation is good, but colors were bad, especially when he released his domain. That red color in the cave looked awful. I am glad that next season doesn't have these problems.
8:45 Most sorcerers never do, even elite ones. It's a very difficult technique to obtain. The fact that Megumi developed one at such a young age, even if incomplete, says a lot about his... (Yes, I'm gonna say it...) POTENTIAL.
My favorite Jujutsu Stroll. A bunch of absolute morons and I love them for it.
Arguably the best juju stroll imo
Factually
I really like Megumi coming to understand his sister. Essentially they make exceptions similarly. Megumi chooses not to save anyone he doesn't deem worthy and also doesn't forgive people. His sister is more like Yuji in a sense that she forgives everyone. Yet Megumi is an exception to her and she chooses to be harsher on him because she loves him that much. You can now understand why Megumi liked Yuji from the start. He reminds him of his sister. Also for clarity Megumi's father left the Zenin clan at some point then had Megumi with a woman and then hooked up with Tsumiki's mom (another woman) who already had Tsumiki. He wanted to sell Megumi back to the clan at some point for some reason. Then at some point both of them left these two kids alone. Gojo comes in and stops the sale and assumes responsibility for both of them in exchange for Megumi becoming a sorcerer. There are some translation issues sometimes in this series. Some of the unclear things will be explained better later! Also the two brothers fighting Yuji and Nobara are indeed the ones Mahito released (they are called "death paintings" and Mahito stole them along with the fingers). So yeah they are separate than the curse that has the sukuna finger.
You are officially part of the reading comprehension kaisen fandom XD seriously though it happens kinda fast so it isnt super obvious right away that the brothers are sent there to go after the same curse that our trio are. I watched the episode a second time when it first released, and only then did it make sense for me.
The translation from the manga says about Megumi's father says "he left the clan AND had you." Not that he left the clan TO have you its a weird translation error, Megumi being a trump card is just serendipity.
I understand it like this: he left the clan for unknown reasons, we can speculate why because they constantly tell us that the Zenin Clan is bad, and he had Megumi with Megumi’s mom. Fast forward in time, he got together with Tsumiki’s mother, and wanted to sell Megumi back to the Zenin clan, presumably just for money. This is correct, we are just missing the reasons why.
I'd say the question of "why" has so much potential, man i'd love to see it.
"P-word" NEYSNSJSNSJS
Looking back on this season, it really does get funnier and funnier each time Megumi almost does ‘the thing’ as a last resort. He nearly used it on fucking Todo in episode 8. Bro literally cannot wait to use it 😭😭
He didn't nearly use it on Todo. I don't know why people think this.
Look at all that fookin' potential
On a serious note, always nice to see our boy popping off
keep in mind the only other human we've seen do domain expansion up to this point is gojo.
Thank you for pointing this out. I think too many people at this point in the story underestimate the accomplishment that is a domain expansion. In most of the reactions to this episode I've seen, people don't even bat an eye when Megumi unleashes his domain. The story isn't super explicit with how impressive it is. It places the expectation on the viewer to recognize that the only times we've seen "Domain Expansion" so far have been: Sukuna in the detention center (the literal king of curses), Jogo (volcano cursed spirit capable of speech), Gojo (sorcerer treated as the strongest), and Hanami (she didn't actually cast it, but she said "domain expansion" just before the barrier came down and Gojo entered). I'm glad that they at least partially picked up on the significance of that scene. That places them above almost everyone else in terms of comprehension.
Just want to throw this out there a few really important aftercredit scenes in season 2 after the movie you don't want to miss them.
So excited for season 2!!!
I knew it would be this thumbnail
I LOVE YOU MEGUMI
