That was the perfect line to end the season. 😭. Like they said there has never been a show like this. It’s healing.

I’ve ended up just as excited as they are about this second season of Frieren; I refuse to believe there are people who’ve watched it and say they didn’t like it. Personally, the reactions have been on a par with the anime; I’ve laughed, I’ve cried and I’ve enjoyed every episode alongside them. The season is beautiful, both in terms of its visuals, the story and the character development. With or without the grimoire, we’ll be here to enjoy this masterpiece in October 2027. ❤️

This season didn't quite affect me in the same way as the first did but the highs were still absolutely spectacular and made me feel every emotion there is basically. Really look forward to where this story goes next.

Shout out to the production team. They have adapted the manga almost word for word, but here and there they add small scenes that actually improve the story. That conversation between Fern and Stark and the 'That's what Ms. Frieren would do' (which broke me, as it did you) was not in the manga.

With most adaptions I usually still end up liking the manga at least a little bit more. They usually just dont line up quite with how it fits in my head, or they lose a bit here and there translating mediums and fitting into episodes, But frieren anime really elevates it from the source material. I like the manga a lot. But the anime just hits different. Its a real benefit to the story. And its very faithful, but adds just enough in the right places to fill everything out.

Someone mentioned this before, but Frieren has 22 official mini-anime episodes. Each episode is less than 2 minutes long, so check them out if you're interested. There are no spoilers, but unfortunately, it's only available through machine translation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X3Y9esqDspY

You’re right. Season 2 and Season 3 definitely focus on the theme of homeland. It kind of makes sense, though, given the journey through the Northern Plateau, which is a region filled with demons and monsters. I'm so excited about the next big arc. Denken is such an awesome character and his story is so interesting. I still have this poster: https://imgur.com/a/rvATpxH Let's be excited. ALSO we will get Pluto next week! And with the current global events unfolding, it will be perfect :D

One of the things I’m most curious about in this story is the actual destination itself, and the questions that arise from it. If ‘Heaven’ exists and did all along, how come it is located at Ende, where the party killed the Demon King? These two locations seem like they would be diametrically opposed, and yet are one and the same. The party was there before, and yet didn't seem to come across Heaven when they were supposedly on top of it? Frieren and Eisen had no knowledge of it, as I recall. I think a character in S1 pointed out this apparent paradox, but who or when I don’t recall. I’m sure it’ll be a long time before I find these things out, but it really stands out as a big unknown to me

I love bridges. Literal bridges and metaphorical bridges shoutout Gloria Anzaldua! One of my favorite bridge stories is The Bridge of San Luis Rey which deals with the papacy investigating the miraculous nature of a bridge collapse. I live a few hundred feet from a bridge that famously unexpectedly collapsed about two decades ago. I like that one of the reasons this bridge is being built is so an army could cross it when so many bridges are destroyed so an army can’t cross them. And I love that Frieren is the type of art that encourages such meanderings. Looking forward to future episodes always.
