Are they gonna do a poll for the next show after this one is done, I just got finished rewatching evangelion hope that makes it in the poll somehow
They will do a poll in 1 month. Evangelion is with 25 episodes in the Short anime slot. The strawpoll is already running to give them a ranking of shows we want to watch. https://strawpoll.com/w4nWWE9XJnA
I think the nurture vs nature debate for johan will always exist especially because of how nina turned out, it would be disingenuous to say that its only because he went through harsh treatment knowing that nina possibly went through similar situations
We need Golden Kamuy to replace monster I'm telling you it's the best thing to watch after it, please at least consider including it in the vote🙏🏼.
They would fall in love with Asirpa
crazy how this is going to peak and peak and peak until the end. no slowing down 😭
Fun facts about Naoki Urasawa/Monster: 3. He originally wanted to be a rock musician - Before manga, Urasawa dreamed of a music career. That love for music shows up not exactly in monster but his next work 20th century boys. Where the manga is titled after the band t.rex’s song under the same name
An episode that gives you answers but still leaves more questions
Listening to the discussion made me realize two things: 1. They are way too smart and discussing stuff that I didn't even want to mention in my comment, because we still have 7 more episodes to go. It's hilarious. I love them for that. 2. 80% of my comment is literally a repetition of what they already get by themselves. LMAO. At least I connected stuff a bit with the timeline of the show. I'm now starting to think that I just should have written a comment again, how Urasawa uses German history with East Germany and West Germany to parallel the twins. The setting in Germany in the 1990s is not random. I still have to think about the time a real-life version of Monster by Guillermo Del Toro was really likely. It was rumored that it failed because HBO wanted to change the setting into the US, which would have been so incredibly stupid. You would have to rewrite a lot, and if you want to keep the essence, it probably had to shift into a North vs South states thing. But that wouldn't be Monster anymore.
Holy peak
Yesss
Good job on Robert for holding off on sending his big blurb on the full release. Edit: I did not see he ended up sending it so now I look mean, lol, mb Robby. Excited for the next episode though.
I was 99% sure they would have watched episode 67. At least I put a spoiler warning for 67 at the top :D
