Monster Episode 41 Reaction

omfg he made those last words count
I watched this reaction and then watched up until episode 44 (first watch). I’m in shambles.
It’s completely understandable that you’re confused about Kinderheim 511 because of the director’s words. I think you’ll get a clearer picture of what really happened there in the second half of Monster, especially what went on before Johan arrived. What I can tell you is this: Kinderheim 511 existed long before Johan and had many children went through its so-called “education”. Grimmer mentioned it himself in episode 40: Some of the children were taken from parents in the GDR who were seen as dissidents or enemies of the state and sent to Kinderheims for experiments and re-education.
Evil Anna is here! It’s hilarious that they think the woman could be Johan in a wig, the 40–60-year-old mother of the twins, or some random woman hired by Johan who just happens to look like Nina, when we literally saw Nina remembering her trauma. They kinda forgot about episode 17 and the whole split personality thing. The main personality we see in Johan is evil, while the main one in Nina is good. Johan’s kind personality is just very weak, only surfacing occasionally to warn others that his darker side keeps getting stronger, while Nina’s second personality, Anna, has only just awakened after she remembered everything.
Monster fans, this is your last chance to vote in the Long Anime straw poll. There isn't much movement anymore, so I'll close the poll tomorrow. I'll share the results on Bocchi. https://strawpoll.com/w4nWWdjrJnA
Added a vote to Eminence in Shadow because someone really thought to recommend that show to them 😂
There's a joke in there somewhere about being long, gay jokes, and the "taste of sugar" man from several episodes ago... but I'm not funny enough to find it
The experiments in Kinderheim most definitely happen before Johan. The point petrov was trying to make is that Education is about forming "model citizens" for your society and, to that extent, he had not failed in Kinderheim 511. He was just doing his job as an expert child psychiatrist to create children that would be perfect soldiers. This doesn't make the place any less horrible, but as far as he was concerned true evil and darkness only made their presence when Johan arrived. Which is why his new experiment was focused on making children impermeable to that evil. He frames it in a scientific lens, but really his conclusion is the obvious one that parental love makes children impervious to evil.
This has to be the funniest end discussion
however he is long
You’ve tagged this ‘monsters’, not ‘monster’ btw
