Now that Pluto/Bocchi peaceful voting is over, I want to mention that LOOK BACK has a runtime of 61 minutes, shorter than at least +50 episodes from multiple live action tv shows that have been reacted to before
You forget that the +50 episodes show is 2 times a week. This 1 times a week anime slot is blocked until June/July, almost 10 months.

Bocchi is a pretty good anime, it is directed wonderfully, not at all generic. The word "generic" is misused, why is generic? Because it's not the conventional sad seinen? Fans of PunPun's manga or more cult seinens also call Takopi "generic." Mind you, I don't consider any of them generic, but people point to Bocchi as if Takopi were the best seinen in history and it isn't.

Bocchi the Rock! is an incredibly touching and funny anime. That said, if you're ready to be emotionally devastated with every single episode, you should check out Takopi's Original Sin (Takopi no Genzai). The quality of work like this is truly exceptional and something we don't often see nowadays.

So true. I just looked up again why Pluto got only so few reactions so far and the reason was the release time. Pluto released all 8 episodes at the same time. So people talked about it for 2 weeks and then they talked about the other anime that released in Fall 2023: - Frieren Season 1 - Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 - Apothecary Diaries Season 1 - Spy x Family Season 2 - Eminence in Shadow Season 2 - Dr. Stone Season 3 - Goblin Slayer Season 2 - 100 Girldfriends - Shangri-La Frontiers Pluto literally had no chance to get traction. That anime season was stacked.
I think Takopi is one of the strongest anime productions from this year, and I believe the girls would be able to get a great analysis out of it. That said, I’m sticking my vote with Bocchi, just because, man, sometimes you just need to balance more mature watches like Monster and Andor with some lighthearted shit. Not only as a patreon but as a reactor I truly think it helps having something looking forward to enjoy in all senses and recharge you, as already happened with Frieren and Haikyuu not so long ago; also, contrary to some perceptions, aside from having messages with genuine heart, Bocchi is also a very clever production when it comes to storytelling. If you vote for Pluto because you like it more or enough out of the other options, I can respect that; but just voting it because of “scheduling reason”, because Takopi fitting this and Bocchi season 2 that, seems odd to me; would you rather live in a world where they didn’t react to Frieren yet just because it wasn’t finished? I mean, it isn’t finished yet or will not be even with season 2, so why the emphasis on finished animes? Don’t get me wrong, there are many excellent finished animes out there that I hope get a chance someday here (Steins;gate, Orb, Evangelion, Parasyte, Your Lie in April, just to name a few), but I believe looking forward for a new season of a show you love is great, that’s all (and we all know that anyways, scheduling is not a strong suit from the girls, and I say this with love) At the moment of posting this there is less than 4 hours remaining on just 1% difference so who know who will win; if its Pluto and then Takopi that’s not a bad outcome at all! To be honest: I’m really looking forward to Bocchi reactions too! It would be a lot of fun. Every show on this poll is great for them. Bocchi being slice of life makes waiting for Season 2 totally fine. I just feel like this is the perfect time for Pluto, with all the Monster fans around and Takopi being one of the most talked-about shows of the year. I don’t see Pluto or Takopi winning against another anime next year, and Bocchi is one of those shows they can start anytime without a poll, because they have interest in it. And Monster does have its lighthearted moments! :D But yeah, a more cheerful show would be nice. That’s why Takopi would be perfect. I mean, what’s more cheerful than an alien from planet Happy? :D

Just woke up to find out no Madoka Magica😭 But I'm also super happy that I can watch Bocchi or Pluto with you (whichever wins). If Bocchi wins I really hope it can get you interested into more "girls playing music" animes like NANA, Girls Band Cry, Bang Dream It's MyGO, Sound Euphonium, etc. This is such an amazing genre that can tell so many different types of stories.

The main issue with “Bocchi the Rock” is that it’s unfinished, and Season 2 hasn’t been announced yet, so it probably won’t be available anytime soon. I’m not sure if the girls know that. They usually don't like to watch unfinished shows

I love Look Back, but Bocchi the Rock has nothing to do with Look Back, it’s pretty clear they won’t react to it or they would’ve already hinted at it in the Chainsaw Man reaction discussion. They only mentioned the CSM Reze arc movie, even though a lot of comments recommended Look Back.

Having finished watching everything but Summer, I do think each show is solid and worthy of reacting but I do hope Pluto wins. It’s a great story adaptation by Urasawa that I haven’t really seen much people react to so I sincerely hope Milena and Lola get the chance to watch.

I'm voting for Bocchi. I think Pluto is better, and I really like Urasawa, but having two anime from the same author with similar themes at the same time is a bit redundant. Bocchi balances the seriousness of Monster, and we haven't had anything "calm and comforting" since Haikyuu.
I wanted A Place Further Than The Universe, a happy fun calm show about a group of girls enjoying life. 😭

With how much the patrons like to see the girls in pain, I'm surprised that there isn't one or two shows with a commanding lead. Just throwing this out there, if you need a 25 ep show that is fully done, I definitely recommend Orb: On the Movements of the Earth
orb could be such a good anime after frieren but yeah now they only choose anime that are maximum 13ep

The first half is Pluto is great but the second half falls off pretty hard… it should definitely be either Takopi or Bocchi in my opinion

Yes, please! When it comes to LM's polls, I don't normally vote for unfinished, 1 season shows until a 2nd season gets closer***, but The Summer Hikaru Died is my favorite show of 2025 and they absolutely must see it. No other recent weekly series has gotten me so excited for new episodes, (although Dr. Stone and Link Clink both brought me joy). *** Of course, if they're willing to include unfinished, 1 season as poll options (as they've done with Frieren, Bocchi the Rock, Chainsaw Man, and The Summer Hikaru Died), maybe the girls no longer care if they're forced to wait for a continuation? I was under the impression that they preferred complete shows (like Monster and FMA), but maybe that's not the case anymore.
I just want to praise Erased how good that show is.

I kinda need bocchi for Milena and hikaru for queer rep, even if it has a season 2 alr confirmed but not close in time, its not gonna be an anime that runs for a lot of seasons bc theres not a lot of content in terms of manga chapters, so im not worried

Pluto is not Urasawa's best work, but still a great watch. I can understand if people don't like it. I would prefer an adaptation of 20 Century Boys so much more.
I like Pluto, but I have to vote for Bocchi. It’s more rewatchable. It would be good for a change of pace.

I was so devasted and emotionally break after takopi but after a while I recovered for the trauma and I recognize it's a masterpiece and it's an anime important to watch. My proposal: let's make a deal Takopi + Pluto fans :) to watch both. The only issue is the order. Maybe start with Pluto

The funny thing is: If Takopi wins, Pluto wins. It's the only show that can follow after until Frieren Season 2, unless we get 7 anime movie reactions or they suddenly start to drop 2 episodes per video to get another 12 episode show done in 6 weeks 😂

I thought they would prefer a finished show now but they also included "The Summer Hikaru Died". Maybe it's better that way. Bocchi Season 2 could come out next year.

i understand this but season one is truly such a well rounded story in itself that i think it’s worth it. with chainsaw man i definitely do think waiting for s2 before reacting would have been better tho lol.

OH we're definitly getting takopi + pluto for the next 14 weeks, too bad (LOVE both of them btw). I just think voting for a 12 ep anime, so we could get a movie before frieren S2 was a unique opportunity to see them watch an anime movie that isn't just the continuation of an anime (haikyuu, cowboy bepop, csm in some months...).
