Chainsaw Man 1x08 Full Reaction

Makima doesn't manipulate people for her own personal gain, but because her role requires it. If a sanctimonious moralist who tries to act virtuously at all costs were in her place, there would be many more deaths and much more pain in the world.

Genuinely don't think you'll find much interesting in JJK. It's a mid show for people looking for good characters and story. It's a good show for people looking for well animated action.

Doesn't matter how insane, awkward, disjointed, nonsensical, absurd, funny, cliché, heartwarming, or fun, the long setups in the character moments and the plot absolutely have rewarding payoffs sooner or later in the way they emotionally destroy you, and sometimes how our group can overcome.

I've seen this ep a dozen times at least and I'm still as shook as you guys rewatching it.

I'm just realising the incredible orchestration of the slow first half of this episode. It takes its time, lingering on shots, eventually transitioning into a relaxing sunny morning conversation over breakfast, then a cosy train journey... and then all hell breaks loose. The setup makes everything that happens after so much more shocking.
