I watched the entire episode with you guys and Andrew Lincoln didn't show up once. What gives?? all that build up for nothing :/
Total misreading of Betty.. yes sometimes she can be sympathetic but they always treat her as a victim all the time. Sometimes, yes… but she also has major issues as well; she’s manipulative, she’s a very cold person, especially to her children, she’s self-absorbed/narcissistic and a lot of her issues sometimes can be very superficial. Don isn’t the greatest all the time either but he went through actual trauma growing up. They don’t give each other what they need and are unhappy. Thats what’s great about the show, no character is perfect or full “victims,” they’re complex.
That is a good story about the 2 actors (and a good pic). My daughter is about your age and she loved Doctor Who. "profoundly sad" -- he read Betty.
Should have been watching the full reactions all along.
it's great. they're all still up if you wanna go thru back catalog
I am JEALOUS of that picture! Never feel embarrassed at loving the Vincent Van Gogh episode of "Doctor Who". Anybody who doesn't cry at Bill Nighy's closing monologue is nobody I want to know. I'm a big fan of Utz potato chips. To me they taste like POTATO CHIPS, instead of 'processed potato product'. Not too greasy, not too salty, just all-around solid quality. A 12.5% raise honestly is a pretty good raise by itself ($25 in 1962 is equal to around $250 now, so that's equivalent to an extra $13,000 per year), but the way Roger just so easily lies to Harry as he gives it underscores his general dishonesty. Roger lies straight to his face, and doesn't even hesitate for a second. This is the first time we see Don be pursued by a woman, instead of him pursuing her. It's just a little bit more uncomfortable and off-putting, which I think really highlights how 'normal' we take men pursuing women even in circumstances that we otherwise disapprove of. Regarding Ellen DeGeneres and her TV show, she came out publicly in 1997, and then shortly afterwards the character she played (Also named Ellen, in the TV series also named "Ellen") came out in the show. It was seen as a watershed moment in gay representation in USA TV, but faced massive backlash. The show was cancelled the next season, Ellen herself faced a career downturn, and Laura Dern (Who guest starred in the episode where Ellen came out) said she couldn't get another job for a year and a half. So even in 1997 it was a death knell for a TV show to star a main character.
Look at it this way: if Bobby becomes Don's "girlfriend", Jimmy definitely has a shot with her!
Jimmy barret is based on several big time comedic actors. He would have been as big as Jackie Gleason or even a Jim Carrey of that time, to give some context of the character.
the edit isn't late..... its people are Nordic
It’s people are Slavic
Congrats Harry you got 100% more responsibility and 12.5% more pay.
He's just prepping for the modern day where you get 100% more responsibility and 3.5% more pay.
If the girls are cracking up that much at anything Roger has said so far than we have a bright future ahead of us
This is the first time im realising how much more hilarious he gets down the line
It's just my people are Nordic
One of Betty's best lines
Great timing 🍽️🤤
