New Short Anime Poll

Why was the greatest anime ever made(Evangelion) not even in the poll :(

This will be long, but I don't know how to send it to them directly, so i'll post it here: Hi Lola and Milena! I write this because I've noticed something about your reactions: Most of the anime you've reacted is shonen or seinen (for example: Haikyuu→Shonen; Attack on Titan→ Shonen; Death Note→Shonen; Frieren→Shonen; Fullmetal Alchemist→ Shonen; HunterXHunter→Shonen; Ranking of Kings →Shonen; Vinland Saga→ Seinen; Monster→Seinen) This is not an issue by itself (Vinland Saga is one of my favourite manga ever): that's just how the industry works; those are the ones who become famous. Even if it's not a "problem", I'd recommend you to check shōjo and josei anime for a more broad experience. But first, a bit of an explanation: Manga is published in magazines. The magazines are categorized in demographies. The demographies are: Shonen→young/teen boy Seinen→Adult man Shōjo→young/teen girl Josei→Adult woman Kodomo→Kids Inside every demography there are manga of MANY genres (So no, it's not "romance=girls". There's drama, fantasy, horror, adventure, and any genre you can imagine in each). Even within every demography, each magazine has different age groups (some shonen are more "mature", and others are more "for kids"). IMPORTANT: All of this is just the TARGET. Once the manga is published, obviously anyone can read it and enjoy it regardless of gender. It's just a label. It can seem sexist to say that there's "manga for boys/girls", but as I said, it's just the target (every product sold anywhere, has a target, and it influences the way it's done, promoted, announced, etc). And right now, as the things "for man" are becoming the norm, and "the neutral", the demographies ensure that there's content made with woman in mind. I'm a 24 year old nb-man, and i'm very aware of the patriarchal state of the world (which if course has huge issues). In the case of manga, the ones targeted to women are often LESS promoted, LESS adapted to anime (and when they are, often have mediocre adaptations, and almost always have just 1 season of 12 episodes, leaving the story unfinished). This is very sad, because there are MANY INCREDIBLY AMAZING stories that are invisibilized and ignored by the readers/watchers. Because of that, I want to recommend you some shōjo and josei anime that I think you would enjoy. SHŌJO: • Fruits Basket (2019) (61 episodes) (completed) Drama about a young girl dealing with life. A story about trauma, grief, found family, healing, and much more. • Revolutionary Girl Utena (1997) (39 episodes) (completed) Deconstruction of gender roles through the "prince" and "princess" stereotypes. It's FULL of METAPHORES and SYMBOLISM, as it explores MYSOGINY and the suffering of women. • Natsume's Book of Friends (2008-2024. Still ongoing) (around 83 episodes) (hopefully we'll get more seasons). A story about healing. A fantastical tale about a boy growing up with the ability to see Yōkai (reatures from japanese folklore). Each one, with unique lifes. The main character is the definition of "MY BOY! MY BABY BOY!". • Yona of the dawn (2015) (24 episodes) Adventure, journey, trauma, action... The equivalent to One Piece. Sadly, even though Yona is one of the best selling manga, and is a LONG story with more than 50 volumes published... we only have 1 (one!) season for the anime. As I said, the industry prioritizes shonen😅🥲 • The Rose of Versailles (1979) (40 episodes) (complete). One of the most influential manga EVER, with an incredible adaptation to anime. Set in the French Revolution, we follow the story of Lady Oscar (a girl who has been raised as a boy, and becomes Commander of the Royal Guard) and Maria Antoinette (future Queen of France). A political drama, filled with fights, angst and social critique. • Banana Fish (2018) (24 episodes) (Completed) Crimes, Mafia, Drugs, Drama... set in New York in the 1980's. • Skip Beat! (2008) (24 episodes) (We are waiting for more seasons...🥲) A fun yet deep story ablut a girl trying to join the entertainment industry. Hilarious humor, and nice emotional exploration of each character's trauma. • Kageki Shôjo! (2021) (13 episodes) (We are waiting for more seasons...🥲) A story about girls joining a theatrical academy, to become performers. The main characters are sunshine, and it's super fun! It has some triggering stuff (it deals with sexual abuse, alimentary disorders, and more...). The manga just keeps getting better, so I hope they do another season... • Nana (2006) (47 episodes) (The anime is incomplete, but the manga is incomplete too, so it counts as complete, with a unique ending). The story of two very different girls who share the same name, and meet in a train to Tokyo. One wants to become a rock star, the other wants to be a housewife. A very deep and painful narration of their lifes, surrounded by flawed characters (like themselves). JOSEI: • Chihayafuru (2012-2020) (74 episodes) (We are waiting for more seasons...🥲) A sport anime about a japanese game (Karuta), but at the same time it's MUCH MUCH MUCH MORE. It can't be described with words, you have to experience it. I would say that it's the equivalent of Haikyuu, but even better in almost every aspect. • Kids on the Slope (2012) (12 episodes) Musical drama set in the 1960's. About Jazz, family, friends, and social unjustices. • Paradise Kiss (2005) (12 episodes) By the same mangaka who made Nana. This one is about a girl who wants to learn about the fashion industry. • Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu (2016) (25 episodes) Deep drama, around the japanese storytelling traditional performances od Rakugo • Natsuyuki Rendezvous (2012) (11 episodes) (Complete) A fantastical story about healing and mourning the dead. It uses some supernatural elements, and has a unique narration style. About an adult young man who falls in love with an woman (a bit older than him) who works on a flower shop. But then, he starts seeing rhe ghost of her dead husband!? There's also Uramichi Oniisan (dark humor), and Nondame Cantabile (orchestral drama?), and many others... Anyway, I'm sorry for this long text. I know it might be hard for these to win polls, as the famous ones are always the ones with most publicity and more mainstream, and those are usually shonen and seinen... but I hope you'll give them a chance either way! Thank you for reading!

I cant believe I missed this poll but I'm so glad CSM won

Demon Slayer gotta be on their radar soon

why did ppl forget about spy x family , it used to be one of the top recommended 😭

Skip and loafer is a great 12 ep anime too! hope u check it out someday, it’s gonna heal your souls for sure🕺

Hope you guys do Samurai Champloo one day, 24 episodes. Samurai show with a genre mashup and hiphop influences also made by the same dude as Cowboy Beebop. Also would love to see Jujutsu Kaisen.

✨️ STEINS;GATE I WILL LOOP OVER THE COSMOS OVER AND OVER UNTIL ONE DAY I HACK YOUR GATE ✨️

I understand the hypothesis CSM poses: broken people act according to the treatment they've received. That said, my problem with CSM is the overvaluation it has received as an audiovisual product, which, in this vote, has prevented a work I consider much more useful from winning. I'll give you two reasons to support my position... 1) Plot: it's not new. Joker, the 2019 film, already addressed the issue. 2) Way of presenting the plot: just because you're "broken inside" doesn't mean you'll go through life as a person without morals. This point, for me, is crucial, as it avoids identification with the characters, turning it into a work devoid of reality, undermining its hypothesis and reason for being... namely: "society dehumanizes us."

Bocchi the Rock finishing at 7% has radicalized me.

i am cosmically rejuvenated my head is producing hair like it never was

Steins;gate with my trembling hands I try to hold you as you fade like a star's final stand from night to day day to night in the frozen time sands that halts me in my fight you seem so close, yet so far a fire splits us afar you cry and i cry "EL PSY CONGROO" uttering a distant wish from my world to yours fire my echoes hues cast my stars shooting meteors in every planet every cosmos and for every dream starts with a gate Steins;Gate

Anyone else think they would really enjoy The Penguin? I think they'd love Sophia lol. Hope it's on a poll one day.

I vote for the subbed version of CSM fwiw. the dub is fine but i think the original performances are fantastic

Great Teacher Onizuka (GTO)

Congratulations to everyone who wanted Chainsaw-man. I'm sure the girls will have a great time watching it. 🙂 That being said, I feel bad for all the Steins;gate fans. Each of the five shows had fans, but none have waited as long as the Steins;gate fans. As a big fan of Monster, I know just how discouraging it feels to see your show get close after years of waiting only to then lose. That's why I voted for Steins;gate (and also because so many of you supported Monster when it was in the long series poll). If there is ever another chance to vote for Steins;gate, you will have my support again. I really hope you get your day in the sun soon!

Would have preferred bocchi but I'm not mad with the result, I think if anyone can see the depth of Denjis character it's the girls. Anyway, I hope for the next long anime we at least get my hero on the poll, I know some people are biased against it and it's not even my favorite of the options in Robert's poll, but I think it would be right up their alley, it's just kids chasing their dreams and they would love the characters. It's more light-hearted than hxh but still has darker moments and complex themes that I think they would enjoy. If not that, I hope they eventually get to Apothecary Diaries

I used to pray for times like this lol, happy Chainsaw Summer!

No tiene relación con animes cortos, pero amaría que las chicas reaccionen a Nana. Sus análisis serían estupendos, es un anime hecho para ellas y con protagonistas mujeres.

Chainsaw Man, the most overrated modern shonen in history, defeating Bocchi the Rock (which in Japan surpassed it in audiences and affection) and Steins;Gate (one of the best anime by MAL rating)... All this speaks very badly of this community... :3

Please vote for Golden Kamuy on the other poll.

steins;gate sub sub sub

Why are we putting shows that are not completed? I thought the girls wanted to avoid that.

Stein's Gate is a classic and a masterpiece. I can't believe it could lose against something like Chainsaw Man...

come on Steins;gate

PLEASE STEINS;GATE

You did it, people: Mayuri is sad. No Steins;Gate, no happiness.

lola and milena, we are short on 2 lab members. join us in the steins;gate lab

sub sub sub sub sub

The chainsaw man dub is really well done. I hope they give it a chance!

Next time, I think it'd be neat if the girls picked the Top 20 choices from one of Robert's surveys and just left the winner to fate. Like, maybe they could spin a wheel, use a random number generator, pick names from a hat, or consult with a wise old woman who predicts the future with her crystal ball. Voting is cool and all, but there are a lot of hidden gems that will never get enough votes, let alone land in a 5 option poll. Leaving it up to fate could be a fair and unique way to level the playing field.

LAB MEMBERS SHOW ME THAT YOU ARE HERE

everytime, steins;gate is there in every poll staring you in the face. i reassure you i will stay here as long as it stays here. how much will i keep holding this gate for you ? its too strong

chainsaw man you can chainsaw massacre my heart in texas, but my heart will not break

Looks like it's gonna be Chainsaw Man. Well, see you in 15 years, when it's fully adapted

steins;gate.

I'm selling my vote to whoever promises to vote for Andor on the next short live-action poll. :)

Damn, quite like csm but season 2 is probably far away and I feel like they would lose attachment to the characters by then, but should be interesting to see their reactions to s1, nonetheless

There shoul be a poll of seinen shows or least popular shows and s different poll for shonen/ popular shows

WDYM 1 DAY LEFT 😭😭

you kill my heart everytime with every poll....... i vote for steins;gate

Heartbroken over no your lie in April option 💔

3-Gatsu no Lion is better than all of those combined

The good thing about Chainsaw Man winning is that the selection of possible anime between Chainsaw Man and Frieren Season 2 is much smaller. Based on the last results from Short Anime Strawpoll, it should be something from this selection: https://strawpoll.com/Q0Zp76z39gM/results New: [F06] Takopi's Original Sin 💚 Top 30: [F13] Odd Taxi 💚 [F08] Pluto 💚 [F13] A Place Further Than The Universe 💚 [U12] Bocchi The Rock 💚 [F12] Erased 💚 [F11] Ping Pong The Animation 💚 [F11] Tatami Galaxy 💚 [O12] The Promised Neverland (Season 1) [F13] Madoka Magica [F12] Death Parade Top 60: [U13] Heavenly Delusion [C13] Baccano [U12] Lycoris Recoil [F12] Buddy Daddies 💚 [F12] AnoHana [U12] Skip and Loafer [U14] Sasaki and Miyano [U13] Girls Band Cry [F13] Angel Beats [F13] Vivy: Fluorite Eye's Song [F11] Terror in Tokyo [O10] Kotaro Lives Alone Top 90: [F12] Kids on the Slope [O12] Land of the Lustrous [U12] Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines! [U14] Tanya The Evil [O12] Girl's Last Tour [F11] Usagi Drop [O12] Hinamatsuri [F10] Hellsing Ultimate [F13] Kino's Journey (2003) [U12] A Sign of Affection 💚

This might be a little irrelevant but I would like to comment that if Chainsaw Man wins, seeing their reaction to the different outros in every episode would be fun I think! For me at least. The outros are one of my favorite things about the anime.

I love chainawman but not the anime adaptation

I voted for CSM because it is one of my favorite manga ever (if my profile pic doesn't make it obvious), but i do feel like it might be a bit early for LM to watch it. Season 1 by itself isn't especially remarkable and who knows how many years it will be before season 2 is released.

I remember watching CSM and falling asleep immediately. I think the manga is more engaging. Poor adaptation.

MY STEINS;GATE BRETHREN, AND FELLOW LABMEMS, LET US NEVER LOSE HOPE NO MATTER HOW MUCH THIS WORLDLINE'S TRYING TO ANNIHILATE US!! WE WILL RISE AGAIN FROM THE ASHES LIKE THE MAD SCIENTIST HOUIOUN KYOUMA, THE BATTLE OF RAGNAROK HAS ONLY BEGUN!!

No Your Lie in April? Come on, it was on the last poll!

I just joined back up can anybody tell me what their "schedule" is like right now?

fingers crossed chainsaw man and mha win, after watching the haikyuu reactions and the disscussions about each character made me realise how great you guys are at reading characters and there are ton in those shows you'd love to anaylse

We dont need more “cinema” shows. We had Cowboy Bebop that’s 100000 times better than Chainsaw

Does anyone know if they are going to react to Andor? They’ve talked about it but I haven’t heard anything for a while. It’s an incredible show, but I think it’s better if you’ve seen Rogue One/A New Hope, and I don’t think they have

I voted for Steins;Gate, but Chainsaw Man is a true work of love for the history of cinema, definitely made for cinephiles. There are a lot of movie references in the opening, and the manga itself also takes clear inspiration from classic films. The author, Fujimoto, is a big fan of cinema, especially Hollywood. I know it’s probably impossible, but I hope they react to at least one of the movies it references

Well it looks like is Chainsaw man next. This anime is alright tbh. It has that B horror movie feeling to it like Army of Darkness or The void.. some people might dislike the writing and that’s fine. Personally I feel the writing is either miss or hit for me so I’m curious how you girls will react to it. I know you girls will love the main trio for sure, especially the MC lol

It seems like CSM will be the next show. IS there any chance they watch Look Back after? Just one more week of Fujimoto's greatness

I'm really happy that Chainsaw Man will be the next anime featured. It's a major work, and Fujimoto is truly a standout mangaka in the land of Japanese manga. It's clearly a must-watch. I also hope that Fire Punch gets adapted one day so more people can discover it. However, please, don't make the same mistake again with the DUB version. Stick with the original Japanese VO. The dubbing culture is simply not the same in Japan, no DUB ever equals or surpasses the original version. That's not just an opinion, it's a fact. 😄

How do I vote for them to watch Vinland Saga again

The ones I want have the lowest percentages 😢😢😢

I would've loved bocchi or dunmeshi as they're watching monster but seeing as this poll is now csm vs steinsgate I would love to see their reaction to chainsaw man, especially with the movie and season 2 coming soon. I watched steinsgate a while ago and I remember it being good but I didn't leave feeling super attached to the characters the same way chainsaw man made me feel! I feel like I also want them to watch chainsaw man simply to see their reaction to what's gonna go down in season 2 lol... either way everything here is good (I haven't seen 86 though so I don't know about that one) and I would enjoy watching their reaction to whatever wins!

Also, I’m pretty sure I say this on every reaction poll (especially if you've seen Hunter x Hunter), but maybe there should be a second poll if no show gets a majority (over 50%)? Just a quick 24-hour runoff between the top two—kind of a little homage to the election arc in HxH 😄

I am not familiar with the shows but been interesting reading the discussion in the comments and watching the poll results. Domination by CSM and Steins: gate over Dungeon Meshi, 86 (next to last), and Bocchi (last place). Current Votes CSM - 305 Steins; gate - 284 (21 votes behind CSM) DM - 84 Eighty Six - 68 Bocchi - 57

I voted for Steins;Gate because I think it’s the superior show overall—but I do worry about how well it would land with the channel. It’s pretty complex and can be hard to follow, especially if English isn’t your first language (which it isn’t for me). I’d honestly recommend watching the dub—I'm usually a sub > dub guy, but this dub is seriously one of the best I’ve ever heard. That said, Chainsaw Man is a fun and easy watch. It’s what I call a "sipping on some ramen" anime. You wont miss much looking away every once in a while. Cool fights, and classic shonen tropes. Much easier to follow than Steins;Gate, for sure.

Time to unsub. See you all!

THEY ACTUALLY MIGHT WATCH CHAINSAWMAN?!?!?

Steins;Gate fanaticism aside, this was the perfect opportunity for reactions; it would have ended just in time for the premiere of Frieren S2. I guess now we'll have to wait a whole year to see it in the poll again. About CSM, they had to react to it sooner or later. It may be a bit freaky, but it's not gratuitous; similar to Evangelion, it's necessary for the plot. I think LM will understand what it's trying to tell instead of dismissing it as "only fanservice." The first season is by far the weakest compared to what's coming in the film and especially the second season, but we'll have to wait a few years for that, which is why I would have preferred to wait until the entire first part of the manga is animated.

I don't think Chainsaw Man is something up their alley.... but i still voted for it cuz i love it and would enjoy their perspective

They should watch Hunter x Hunter

I use a translator so sorry if my English is not correct. Dugeon Meshi is great. The comic is complete and Season 2 is in production. My favorite part of this piece is that the characters feel like they are actually alive. I love their relationships. I hope you will watch it someday, if not this time. I am embarrassed to say that I do not understand English, but I always look forward to your reactions. Thanks for the nice reactions.

Ranked choice voting is the real winner in this poll!

Also, I think in the future the poll should be blind, so people can’t see what’s winning. I think the votes would be a lot different if people can’t see what’s the popular vote.

I dont have interest in any of these shows so i voted bocchi.

I agree with some of the comments I have read regarding the handling of the surveys with the anime that are included. My comment is in order to help lm for future polls. For me it's a bit frustrating to see bocchi, 86 and dungeon meshi anime next to chainsaw man and steins;gate, we know from the first moment that these 3 anime wouldn't have any chance, simply because of the big difference in audience compared to the other 2. I say this also because I thought that if in the future we have a poll for the long anime I wouldn't like to see in the same poll, for example, a fruba next to a jjk or a kny, we all know that fruba wouldn't have any chance to come out as a winner. Hopefully it will take into account the amount of audience that such anime covers, thanks for reading me

wow, polls are a lot less stressful when you have no stake in the game 😌

Steins gate after my rewatch i can Tell its not that deep :D

‘CSM is too freaky’ and it just doesn’t pretend its characters don’t have sexual desires like🤔it doesn’t even have gratuitous fan service it’s all related to characterization and plot

The funny story of Steins;Gate losing to everything else: https://imgur.com/a/funny-story-of-steins-gate-losing-to-everything-else-wOGoAfe

Little disappointed it looks like CSM is going to win, I would not describe it as "short", they just happened to have only made 12 episodes so far, the manga is still ongoing. The first season doesn't really encapsulate a full story and the movie coming out will cover what, like ~15 chapters? It will take years from now to even get to the end of part 1.

If all the people from Steins;Gate move to Dungeon Meshi, Dungeon Meshi could still win :D

I ask that in future polls, we try to pair the more popular shows together and the least popular shows together as well, bc i dont see the logic of pairing something like steins gate or csm with 86 or bocchi, being the underdogs. whats the point (evidently this is not a dig at LM since theyre unaware, but more for us to maybe be more conscious of this when discussing future anime options, or letting them know) (plus this has happened in past polls)

Had to give up on Eighty six since it’s gonna lose 😢 and put my vote on steins gate

not a great selection

what about Dororo 😭 it was in the previous poll

What the heck why chainsaw man is in this poll!!, it’s definitely not for the girls taste … steins gate all the way 🔥🔥… the best well written piece of art alongside AOT

DUNGEON MESHI IS SO GOOD YOU GUYS WILL LOVE IT 😭😭 it’s so cute and cozy and the English VA for Marcel is Nami from One Piece Netflix! But since that’s not gonna happen my vote is for Steins; Gate. Chainsaw Man needs a S2 before a reaction, in my opinion.

really shouldnt have put csm on a poll until season 2 is out

Out of the two leading they will definitely prefer Stein's Gate

Cmon steins gate fans 🙏🏼🙏🏼. CSM is too freaky

I'm excited for you to see Chainsaw Man, as 2 of the 20 chosen anime viewers in the world who can recognize themes

STEINS GATE THE BEST ANIME I HAVE SEEN IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. 12/10.

Positively surprised that you put Chainsaw Man on here, it might SEEM like it's not in your wheelhouse but it definitely is, downside is we might be waiting a while for it to peak with the movie and S2.

Sad that bocchi is not even close to winning, but still excited for chainsaw man, I think they can handle those scenes.

ChainsawMan pretends to be a silly piece of work, but it is a good one.

No blue eyed samurai?😭 its only 8 episodes

COME ON STEINS GATE. Hopefully after that, it makes room for Re:Zero to be put on the poll. I just know they're gonna love the character nuances and exposing of flaws. Most especially with Re:Zero. But the community has spoken. Hopefully someday they check out Steins Gate, cos I honestly think its something they'd enjoy.

hope one day Pluto and Dororo will make it in one poll 🧘🏻‍♀️

If chainsaw man wins then the next short anime slot timeframe before Frieren s2 will be 12 weeks/episodes, hopefully Bocchi can win then Milena

YESSSSS CHAINSAW MAN

it’s probably been said by someone else already, but man i was really hoping your lie in april would at least be put on the poll. sadly we won’t even have a chance of getting ylia for at least a year most likely. edit: i know it’s a long ways away, but i just want to say from looking at the poll put together by robert, i think the two shows i would most want reactions to are code geass and kaguya sama. kaguya sama is a show that the girls will probably never react to, but i think it would be great. its the best romance anime by far in my opinion, and its super funny. code geass however is a show that i think will get a lot of votes (hopefully) because it’s seriously so freaking good. those reactions would be incredible. again i know its very far off, but i just thought id share my opinion on that lol. thanks for making the poll robert

Democracy!

Poll is leaning pretty heavily on recently released content. Would like to see some shows that have already proven that they stay relevant over time like Princess Jellyfish, Sonny Boy, Ping-Pong, Silver Spoon.

I voted for chainsaw but I hope dungeon mesh wins in a future poll!

Guys! We've done it again. I'm proud of everyone who didn't vote for Steins;Gate. Let's continue with this approach until the end! :D https://imgur.com/a/2Yb7QB9

I want to thank everyone who voted for 86, I hope to see your reaction in the future to this anime because I know you will love it, congratulations to the winner. I want to leave here some anime which I would like to see you react to in the future and I think they can be according to your interests: Erased, medalist, negative positive angler, orange, takopi's original sin...

They would love Bocchi 👌

I've just joined Patreon, so this poll is really interesting. To recited the words of another user, CSM winning wouldn't be as bad since it's so short--they can move on quicker to another show much faster and if they don't like it they never have to pick it up ever again. After hearing if the history, I'm sure SG will receive the Monster treatment and will be watched by the girls as a testament to the fan's dedication. I have mixed feelings, but they have a discord server for that. Whatever wins, I am excited anyways ❤️

The only shows not worth watching are steinsgate and the last half of 86. Watch the rest.

DUNGEON MESHI PLSSSS

Since Chainsaw Man seems to be winning: The endings are a MUST WATCH! Mappa has poured a lot of money and probably blood and souls from their employees into this anime, giving the anime 11 completely different endings that are heavily customized to each episode (first episode doesnt have images).

Maybe after Chainsaw Man we can watch something cheerful, like Tokapi, who wants to spread happiness on Earth.

surprised csm is on here. while it’s fun and an animation spectacle there’s definitely some off putting content in it. i know the manga gets really good though so that’s exciting for s2, i just dont know if there’s enough in those initial 12 eps for LM to latch on to. could be wrong though

In regard to the long anime, it’s a damn shame that episode count on OnePiece is taking it out of the running. The episode that just aired (1136) was one of the best most beautiful little pieces of anime I’ve seen. Sigh…maybe the live action will survive long enough to get to Kuma’s story.

Guys why would you ever want them to watch CSM? They hate sexual stuff in anime and that whole anime is filled with it...

I hope they react to Hajime no Ippo one day... Ippo is like if Gon wanted to be a Pro boxer, they would love him.

WHERE IS NEON GENESIS EVANGELION?!?!

As long as Dungeon Meshi or Bocchi doesn’t win I’m ok with the rest of these options. Yeah I’m hating, I don’t care lol. Shout out to odd taxi… Robert mentioned that anime and I hope that anime gets to be on the polls one day. Also I hope one day Evangelion gets to be on the poll as well… and a last shout out to Steins gate.. is not looking good for you bros. My vote went to you guys.. hopefully you guys win next time ;__; I’m feeling bad for yall.

Could see them liking all of these shows, hope they get to them all cuz Bocchi and Dungeon Meshi might not win over more popular series

I guess this would be a good time to tell them that the creator of Fullmetal Alchemist has a new Anime on the way. It's called Daemons of the Shadow Realm

STEINS GATEEE!! SO CLOSE YET SO FAR!! 😭

I think Chainsaw Man would be a good one specifically right now since the movie comes out in October, hopefully VOD shortly after. You might finish it just in time.

Checking out Robert's poll, I'm surprised no one has suggested 'Your Lie in April' at all. It already has a lot of anime I think they would like, but I'm just surprised.

Has anyone else watched and/or read "The Summer Hikaru Died" or "Dead Dead Demon's Dededede Destruction" and think it'd be a good fit? I forgot DDDD had an anime, but it's a top 3 manga for me and It'd be cool to experience that with the girls. I wonder what direction Inio Asano took with the anime as I'm aware he made some changes.

I deleted my last comment about thinking they might not appreciate CSM. I was being a weenie. They can definitely handle some flawed but deeply human characters! CSM Team we ride!

And ofc chainsaw man is winning lmao. I like the show though I just don't really care that much for a reaction but why not since it's you two. But really I'm surprised it is in the poll. I never really see people recommended it that much in here lol. People don't seem to think you'll like it. We'll see :)

I love chainsaw man and while I don't think it's exactly their thing, there's so much to appreciate that I'm pretty sure they'll still like it. With that said, dungeon meshi and bocchi would be absolutely delightful and I wish they were doing better.

My vote is 86, but I think the negative opinions about CSM here are quite exaggerated, I think it has interesting themes and good characters. And I also believe that if LM wasn't interested in watching it, it wouldn't even be in the poll... so calm down

It's criminal that orb didn't make it in this poll. It would have been perfect for you two. It's such a beautiful show too bad that people didn't hype it up like everyone did with frieren. This poll is a bit disappointing for me lol ngl but I really wanted to start dungeon meshi so why not. I don't get why chainsaw man is in the poll but not a place further than the universe or Pluto that are short and that people really think they are up your alley. How did you make the poll lol I really wonder

It's too bad that 86 isn't getting enough love, but Chainsawman is a great pick. I love love LOVE Fujimoto's writing. His stories are batshit insane but deeply human, the themes are on point. For anyone who interested but not familiar with Fujimoto, check out his manga oneshots Goodbye Eri and Look Back, they're AMAZING and can be read in one sitting. My only concerns with voting CSM now is that 1) the current anime only covers the first arc of the manga, which while good isn't really that impressive compared to what comes after (though hopefully ya'll follow right after with the Reze arc movie), and 2) CSM's tone is pretty dark and we already have Monster.

No Samurai Champloo 😭

It would have been a really interesting poll with Dandadan vs Chainsaw Man! :D

even if i think they won't enjoy watching CSM as much (and i could be wrong) i think it's good that they have a popular anime on their schedule

Wow, very solid choices but ultimately I think Steins Gate would be great for you guys. Fascinating story with unexpected turns and a great cast of characters. Also some of the other choices are relatively still new and I’ve been waiting for someone to react to Steins Gate

Please vote Steins;Gate. CSM doesn't even compare quality wise and I say that as a fan. Also, it should be DUB!!

I'm sad at 86 not being even close, but at least csm is great and it's the kind of show you will enjoy a lot

dungeon meshi would be crazy, kinda the closest thing to frieren

So far I have learned from this poll that democracy can be a mistake.

Steins;Gate!!!

The salty tears of everyone crying about CSM is going to make their in depth discussions about the show even better

I was going to vote for Dungeon Meshi but the opportunity of them reacting to Chainsaw Man may never come again. So I had to throw my hat at it. But honestly....not sure if they'll be too thrilled with it.

I’m so surprised y’all haven’t done spy family it is literally the perfect show for y’all

SPY FAMILY PLS

Come on! you should be watching "Your lie in April" 😢😢

If Steins;Gate wins, it needs to be the English dub.

Before Frieren returns in January we have time for either Steins: Gate (25 episodes) or two 12 episode animes. If CSM wins and then SG wins after, LM will be waiting an extra three months to react to Frieren

csm should be pushed back until another season is announced.....

For those who don't know, this channel has a discord for discussing things with and without spoilers, posting cats etc. https://discord.gg/z3yhaFcH

I voted for csm because I never expected to see that and I'm interested to see what they think of it since I can't tell if it'd be up their alley. Also, one day I hope to see Ping Pong the Animation, Orb, or Pluto on the poll. If school babysitters magically gets on the poll however, I would vote for that regardless of my desire for those 3 (it is adorable).

I love CSM and Steins Gate but Bocchi would be so fun

No way chainsaw man is winning? 💀💀 do the people who vote even know the kind of shows they enjoy?

cmon guys we have to give them some happiness let's vote for bocchi... /j or not whatever

choosing to vote between 86, Dungeon and Bocchi is like pointing a gun at my head

I’m proud of these votes I love Chainsaw Man anyone if you haven’t watched it yet trust it’s so good check it out and I love Steins Gate too it hurts not to vote for that but Chainsaw Man too fire😭

Steins;Gate is the new Black Sails. Hopefully one day lm will take pity on it. Love seeing 86 on the poll but it's brutal having it go against chainsaw man

There’s a lot of questionable reads on the story of CSM in these comments lol Fujimoto is one of the best writers in the game. I think they will be able to see the vision through all the messed up parts. All that stuff is there for thematic reasons.

You ladies need to watch MADE IN ABYSS definitely one of my favorite animes of all time 😭😭😭😭

I wish 86 was on a poll that didn’t have popular shows i.e chainsaw man. 86 is such a 10/10 show with so much talking points. One day i hope we get a poll with bocchi, hibike, sonnyboy, K-ON

EIGHTY-SIX one day, that’s a story perfect for you two!!!

Steins;gate has been on the polls since forever. And now it's competing against csm? I wonder if it's going to become the new Monster

Bocchi the Rock would scratch that Frieren/Haikyuu itch. Vote for something to counterbalance Monster for this channel

Voting S;G since it came so close to winning. I don't think Chainsaw Man is for their taste. Meanwhile I hope at some point they will watch Evangelion. Without Eva we wouldn't have AoT or Fullmetal, two shows they love very much. And since it's the same period as Cowboy Bebop they already are familar with some of the animation vibes.

if chainsaw man wins I feel they'll like it as much as cyberpunk 😅

Idk about chainsaw man guys 😅😅 But the vote is the vote

Im so happy 86 is on the list. It probably wont win for now but when it eventually does, i pop the champagne. They are gonna LOVE this show.

Chainsaw man is probably my favourite on-going series for quite a while now, love it, would love to see them watch it, but there's not enough out yet. In terms of length, not tone, it would be like they started Haikyuu at S1, sure its great on its own but it was such a great reaction series when they had so much to go through

Man, Chainsaw Man is going to be an interesting watch for them, LOL. I guess this would be a good time for them to watch it since the movie is coming out relatively soon.

Chainsaw Man is the adventurous choice, as it’s really high quality, but a big departure from your usual tastes.

This lovely community has some Steins;gate fans who have been waiting patiently for YEARS, many of whom voted in support of Monster, so it's time to return the favor. Plus, the girls have a preference for finished shows, so that makes my choice even easier. My fingers are crossed for all you Steins;gate fans! If I were to vote based on my favorite poll option, I've only watched Chainsaw-man. It's a great show, and I think the girls would like it, but we've been waiting years for a continuation. I know the movie is coming out soon, but how long will it be before the *next* season or movie? I'd hate to subject them to the same long wait I'm currently suffering through. 😫

Chainsaw Man goooooo

One of these day hope yall get to Your Lie in April but it’s a bit of a downer so now probably ain’t the time. That Bocchi one gives K-On! Vibes so that’s my vote, something chill and nice.

86 has the same composer as Attack On Titan…just sayin 😬

Someone add Orb to their lists. Heavily underrated show.

If you end up watching Chainsaw Man, I am warning you be ready because there are a lot of messed up things in there but it is a really good anime, I am just not sure if you will like it.

Also I think they should not have put Chainsaw Man not until the S2 comes out because the movie isn’t out yet and S2 is more likely to come out in 2028/2029 imo

CHAINSAW MAN LETS GOOOOOOOO

Solo leveling?

Voted for Dungeon Meshi. Crazy to see Chainsaw Man in it. So we get the New Generation Jujutsu Kaisen before Jujutsu Kaisen :D

That's an insane poll I don't even know what to vote for I love every anime in this list

Oh man, Dungeon Meshi and Bocchi? I'm gonna have to go with Bocchi since it's short and sweet and Milena wants to watch it 😄

86 FANS I COMMAND YOUUUUU

i’ve never seen any of these so i guess i’ll be watching whichever wins so i can follow your reactions! 😊

That said I have read chainsaw man and it’s peak… idk if they’ll be into all the weird innuendo tho

Making me choose between Steins;Gate and 86 is DIABOLICAL 😭😭😭😭😭

Since I haven’t seen any of these I’ll throw a bone to the steins gate people since they’ve been waiting forever

I’ve been waiting for you guys to check out Chainsaw Man for a long time I hope it wins :D favorite current running series

Bocchi for me, fun and silly! Recommend Lycoris Recoil for the next. And Spy Family, Apothecary Diaries

Damn, no Pluto

Oooooo, 86 and Steins Gate, I hope 86 wins because I can see them talking about that anime on the level of attack on titan

Ooh, torn on a few of these. I think Dungeon Meshi would be a lot of fun especially if they're looking for something more wholesome. But I do love SteinsGate and Chainsaw Man.

Where is JJK? And in before someone tells me that show isn't the type of show the girls would like, save it. I disagree highly

Ain't no way people thought chainsaw man was their type of show

Please let 86 win man, it’s the best show on this list. Also chainsaw man ain’t it for them but it will prolly win due to popularity smh
