18 and 19 will be loved for sure. I'm hoping 20 is appreciated as much as 11 was!

Really hoping they do Samurai Champloo & Trigun after Bebop. It's essentially the Holy Trinity of anime to me.

The guy dragging the coffin through town is a homage to the spaghetti western movie ‘Django’ from 1966, where the titular character does the same thing, except in the movie it has a machine gun hidden inside

They should have put that in the remake

Like you girls mentioned, I want to acknowledge the sadder and revealing character insight under all the "magic trip"/goofiness, real quick: Faye: Feels like she's lost and drowning in a vast ocean, and though there are plenty of fish, she's drowning alone. Cut to our 74-year-old cosmic wanderer in real life, and she's 'trapped' in a single space (bathroom); Spike: He's climbing forever towards whatever his idea of heaven (closure) might be, but because he doesn't know what it is, he never gets there. Cut to real life, and he's walking in place... going nowhere. Jet: Has a trip that suits his philosophical nature, but ultimately, is just lonely and wants someone to talk to. At the end when everyone's mostly back to normal, it's Spike that stays under and "dreaming" the longest. Every day, he's 'sleepwalking' - he literally can't tell if he's awake or dreaming, and never finds out because he's afraid of the answer.

Honestly Bebop feels like a great show to end the day on. I remember when I watched it long ago, it was a high-school summer binging it, Samurai Champloo and Trigun with my girlfriend because we wanted to see what all these old greats were about. And we came away enjoying them, but it was the little moments in-between the big plot points that seemed to really leave their mark. Really looking forward to the next episode, must be one of the most memorable things of the show for me
