Cowboy Bebop Episode 8 Reaction

My subscription will run out soon and I know this isn’t the time or place, but I feel I have been moved by something much greater than myself. Orb: On the Movements of the Earth is an anime. Terribly realistic and terrifyingly beautiful. A show with the depth of Vinland Saga and cliffhangers like Attack on Titan. It’s not something that’s fresh. It’s brutally human and risks the chance of hurting you in a quiet way. The weight of it will feel much more significant than I can describe, and tears don’t do it justice. It’s like accepting a tragedy that has already happened and has yet to occur. A feeling that the world makes sense even during the contradictions. I normally cry out for JJK, but my heart solely seeks the simple desire of sharing this story with you. Orb: On the Movements of the Earth.

Glad they're loving it so far. Lots of great episodes to come!

A simple story but touching. Truly tragic to not have seen your family your entire life only to have them die to give you your sight back. Man rewatching this again has me wanting y'all to see other shows from the era like Wolf's Rain, Baccano! and Black Lagoon. Also, Ein is pronounced like Einstein, his namesake haha.

Honestly, I think episode 8 onwards is when Cowboy Bebop starts being a banger

I'm glad you guys remember the stargate explosion from the episode with the kid that didn't age. It's relevant to many more stories in the future

Whenever you girls aren't sure who the bad guys are just assume they're mobsters.

Spike as a person has definitely drawn a lot of inspiration from Bruce Lee, both his philosophy & by practicing his martial art jeet kune do. I imagine Spike is into taoism as well, which Bruce Lee heavily drew from. Once I'm done studying imma add to this post a little info on taoism that I know and how I think it influences Spike's outlook on life

To clarify about the plants, they are used to convert the toxic gases of the planet into breathable air. So the plants are actually purifying the air. Why they would use plants that are also toxic to do that is not explained. Considering the sister says the plants are only on Venus, either Venus is too poor to get better plants or its was the only plant that could survive on Venus.

We are getting close to the episodes so I thought I would let you ladies know that episodes 12 and 13 are a two parter and I would recommend watching those two together in one sitting if you can!!!!

I’m trying to focus on the positives more this year, and I’m just focusing on the fact that Ein finally got to eat

This ep omg, this broke me when this dropped on toonami (late at night, meant to be going to school the next day)

gloomy bebop is the best bebop

i said when yall started this show that Keiko Nobumoto is my favorite writer of all time and youre starting to see glimpses of why her and her team were writing something truly special in bebop with episodes like these. Buckle up kids lol

For some reason this episode always stuck with me.

Spike's martial art style is Jeet Kune Do, a real-life martial art (with associated philosophy). It was developed by Bruce Lee, and rendered very accurately in this show.

Never stop making theories ladies you're doing amazing (˵˘ ³˘˵) ᯓᡣ𐭩

Spike's fighting style reminds me of Aang. Using another person's force and momentum against them. I actually strongly think the animators of creators took inspiration from Spike because all animators of that generation knew Cowboy Bebop. Also, watching your expression change in a split minute was truly why I subscribe to this channel. Idk what that says about me lmao. Roco makes me sad too. Also, shoutout to the show for the gay representation.

I bet yall weren’t ready for a sad episode in this show lol
