didn't know poignant was an english word as well. How do you even prononce that in english lol
I believe it's pronounced 'poin-yant'.
Got too impatient via youtube so i went here to see how far you've progressed on this show. This season is my favorite and this series is truly a marvel to experience-- in any way! Whether it be in manga or anime or the live stage play... it's so so so good. It feels like a gift. And knowing and seeing you both enjoy and love this as much as we do just warms my heart. I wish you all the best!!!! If there's any way you can add Fruits Basket in your list for your next show, that'd be amazing. I think you'll love that so much since it's centered over a girl who is sunshine personified too. Hope you're always safe and healthy, girls!
I strongly suspect that the poll after Monster will be decided between Apothecary Diaries, Fruits Basket, Kaguya-sama Love is War and Dungeon Meshi. They've been getting recommended a lot lately.
If you want to do a Top 5, I would recomend doing it by each part, like Top five S1 Part 1, and Top 5 S1 Part 2 (you know when each part starts because of the opening changing), and when you finish the story you can decide an overall Top 5.
This really makes the most sense, as each half of a season focuses on certain characters.
i knew this one was gonna be so emotional for you guys, knowing how much you love yamaguchi and oikawa both, and i'm so glad you enjoyed it as much as i thought you would! it was such a pivotal moment for yamaguchi's character development, and really delivered with him. he single-handedly made them have the momentum needed to go into the third set despite the loss of the second set. and the oikawa/seijoh dynamics and iwaizumi telling kindaichi not to worry about anything else when he was doubting himself and worrying about not making it the last match for iwa, oikawa, makki and mattsun was so cute too. i can't wait for next episode, it's personally on my top 3 episodes of this season!
I was going to try to guess the song/OST that Lola finds so emtional at the end of the discussion, but then I just realized how good the soundtrack in Haikyuu is. Completely underrated. But my guess: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SHqjFfqBFgI&list=PLIY6ZkkCPhYBkTCcrWZ3Gt5hISPF514_W&index=3
its this one https://youtu.be/99gdhcpJhRU?si=PuGf9S3ThzKe2TRU
I always get teary eyed seeing Tsukki play with more intensity and precision when Yamaguchi is on the court. Seeing him care about how a round goes not for himself but for Yamaguchi shows such subtle growth for both Tsukki and his friendship with Yamaguchi
Has there been any talk about squidgame? or invincible since its going to start in a month?
I would guess Invincible after Severance, because Squid Game Season 1 they watched on their own. A Reaction to Season 2 would have been awesome, but doesn't fit in the schedule. If they didn't watched Season 2 yet, maybe together with Squid Game Season 3? That will come out this year too.
GIRLS Please watch this extra scene after episode 25!!! It's part of the manga but it was animated later when they compiled this match into a movie and added the extra scene. Do not watch before finishing episode 25! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lao54_hFaA0
You are doing gods work
yamaguchi centred episode? can't wait to get home to watch it.
Zero context; It's "poignant" I love the self-imposed dread of deciding to do a Top 5, best of luck narrowing that down aha
If I had to guess, then for Lola Tsukki, Yamaguchi, Kuroo are in the top 5, then somehow Oikawa, Hinata, Kageyama, Tanaka, Kenma, Bokuto, Suga, Daichi, Asahi, Ukai, Akaashi, Iwaizumi, Aone, Yachi, ... For me, Ennoshita still has to be in there. Best character :D Maybe they need a Top 20. And there are still so many characters to come. And so many more character arcs for our characters.
I swear I’ve watched y’all for a few years on and off and this show is the one you’ve both cried the most at
I'm not so sure about that. Avatar, Attack on Titan, Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, Violet Evergarden, Ranking of Kings and Frieren have also been drenched in tears.
