Because I'm currently rewatching your Violet Evergarden Reaction with my girlfriend and you mentioned this in your Reaction to the first episode: The following of the top 27 (top 25) short anime have female main characters: 1. Anime Movies: A Silent Voice, Look Back, Your Name, Wolf Children, I Want To Eat Your Pancreas, Suzume 4/6 have a female main character. 2. Ghibli movies: Spirited Away, Grave of the Fireflies, Castle in the Sky, My Neighbor Totoro, Howl's Moving Castle, Princess Mononoke, The Boy and the Heron 5/7 have a female main character. 3. No mention of The Apothecary Diaries. Shame.
Sadly, the mangaka had to take a break from Frieren and it's on indefinite hiatus. Hopefully she's not in too poor of a condition.
I already mentioned that in another comment: The manga is on hiatus again right now, but health issues are not the problem. The manga has always had short breaks of a few weeks to 3 months in the last two years, but always because of storyboard ideas, supporting work in the anime or just family. Many fans suspect that they are currently helping out with season 2 at Madhouse. EDIT: Now we have the first hiatus because of health problems... And it looks really bad.
you guys should really consider watching creature commandos when the first season finishes. you dont need too much prior knowledge to enjoy the show and it has a similar tone to invincible
