finally caught up with the series and your reactions. I adore Ekko and Powder and I adore this universe, I hate our main storyline lol
I was doing a lot of cry laughing too. It's so beautiful, but soo cruel. I can't even process why I was laughing at some of the moments. The moment where you see Benzo, Vander, and Silco being the adults at what seemed like a prom-like party, my heart was suspended.
Yeah this is a tough watch. It’s really hard watching you girls be so mad and sad and in pain while watching this. I feel almost the exact opposite reactions and truly love being away from chaos of our normal world. And seeing all these people alive and more importantly healthy in powders case is just magnificent. It’s hard to watch you two being so sad while I am so happy.
This was my favourite episode of the whole show and I'm so glad you girls felt the same.
I don't know if you know. but a scene was deleted in season 1 where ekko tries to save jinx from silco and in which she rejects him about 3 months after the end of episode 3. that's why she calls him “the boy savior” in episode 7

This is my favorite episode of the season (and basically the only one i dont have any complaints about) Like you girls said, this shows shines when it focus on the characters
Best episode of the show. Just a constant sad smile on my face while watching. The music is beautiful. And that song heimerdinger sings is just so powerful with ekko and Jayce walking through the different realities. And it’s just awesome to see a healthy powder. I’ve watched this episode more than any other as it’s just a good time. I’m certainly not upset to see a world where things are good. I’m a little sad that they were so upset during the episode and kept wanting to not be in this world where things are good. But I get it. But also, enjoy it please. Cause it’s awesome. And the world we come from is anything but awesome at this moment.
You guys should look up the lyrics for "ma meilleure ennemie" that played during the ekko and powder dance scene. Only if you wanna cry again.

btw heimerdinger is a yordle and yordles dont die they just respawn. there is a way to kill them I think but not this explosion. Vex is a league character whose whole characters is based on the fact that she cant die and is depressed

I'll echo everyone saying this is a brilliant episode. Being fluent in French, that dance scene sure hit different! Also I get misty just seeing Vi's necklace on Powder, Fortiche put so many details in Powder's fashion and style, it's insane.
If your biggest (and only) issue about Arcane S2 is the pacing (that’s most people’s main complaint), that proves how amazing the show truly is. I’ve seen sooooo many complaints online how the show was ruined because of the pacing. Like WHAT?!?! I think the expectations coming off of S1 were just too high for a lot of people.
I think they just needed to cut back on all the weird music video segments. The show is quite dark and gritty and then they have these quite terrible songs with montages constantly. Overall I liked S2 a lot though

This episode just reminds me a lot of Attack on Titan 4x04 and 4x28, where we see a festival/party in the war-torn world. It feels really cruel as a viewer.
Probably the best episode of Arcane, both seasons.
The ship name is TimeBomb and in 1 episode, they managed to become the best ship in all of Arcane with EASE. As I said before Ekko is literally the best thing in this world. He is the best boy, a perfect boy and seeing him this episode tore me to shreds. This is my favorite episode of this season hands down. Seeing what could have been though was gut wrenching and I loved how it shows us that Ekko and Jinx/Powder will always have a connection no matter the universe. But Ekko choosing to go back to save his world even though it meant giving up something he has always wanted is what makes him the best person in this entire show and wayyy too good for this world.
I still prefer CaitVi as a ship because of how much time they had and because of S1. But this episode is my favorite of the show.

What else I can mention: The Blue Rose Necklace, which Powder ends up putting in the drawer with the hextech crystals she probably took with her when Jayce's office exploded, features a blue flower, which typically stands for unfulfillable love (Frieren cough cough Himmel cough cough). In general, Powder seems to lock them away, so I wouldn't expect her to bring Hextech to the other universe herself.
finally. the second the credits rolled the first time I watched this I was like ... I can't fucking wait for L and M to react to this. absolute cinema. merr chrihmas everybody 🎉

merry christmas everyone :) yeah, possibly one of my favourite episodes of the show, though it makes me very sad, specially after all the shit i read on twitter afterwards about vi 🙃my girl vi can't catch a break with the audience, she always gets blamed for everything
I totally agree. Somehow jinx/powder gets all the sympathy and vi more often than not is an after thought to most people. Which makes me sad. Vi is my favorite character on the show. Could be because I’m a big brother and so I connect with her in that way. But she has been through so much. I mean prisoner for 7 or so years and getting beat the whole time is pretty upsetting. Somehow jinx being taken in by silco and going full on nuts and killing people is more sympathetic to most of the crowd.

As critical as I’ve been of this whole season, I’ve gotta say this episode was a masterpiece 10/10, easily my favorite episode of the whole show. I just think it’s Ironic isn’t it ? Jinx is A Lot happier living in a world where Vi is dead but everyone else is alive then in a world where everyone else is dead and Vi is alive. It Almost made it seem like Vi has been the real jinx in the show all along.
all due respect here but i think that's unfair. not the ironic part, i agree with you there, it really is ironic, but i've seen many people saying that vi was actually the jinx and it makes me a bit mad and specially sad because she did nothing wrong and some people have hated her since ep3 of s1 for lashing out after losing more than half of her family. you can blame her for taking them on the job that started it all but you can equally blame ekko for following jayce or powder for setting the monkey bomb. i think that people love jinx so much (can't blame them because i adore her too) that they end up unconciously blaming vi for everything.
Ekko with one episode became a top 3 fav character to me.
The writers of this show are truly genius ..... this episode is SO good. Oh, and Merry Christmas! =D
