Definitely do all that you can to avoid spoilers with so much talk about the current season online
Said Eren Yeager, who spoiled the final season to himself :D
Next is haikyu ?
dont worry, next episode is very chill, as are all the final episodes of each act
Anyone else waiting for up to date and waiting for Act 3 now?
Also, jinx saying Silco was a “big baby” who couldn’t administer his medicine himself, when we’ve seen him do it himself in 1x01.. he just wanted HER, his daughter, to do it 🤧🥺 Trusting her with his biggest vulnerability. And that’s all she ever wanted, for someone to trust her.
I think it’s so significant that both episodes started with funerals/burials, but while Cait’s mother got a beautiful funeral/burial, and Cait got to mourn in a clean environment, Jinx buried her father in a contaminated river. Cait is afforded time and space to mourn. Jinx must immediately fight to survive. In the previous episode, the topsiders were horrified anyone would attack a memorial; death, mourning, and burials are seen as something sacred, an attack at that time is seen as “low”. But in truth, mourning is political, burials are political. The way people are allowed to mourn and bury their dead informs you on how their humanity is regarded. In the case of zaunites, their humanity is non-existent to topsiders. They are not given burial grounds. Their dead are disposed of as you would dispose of waste. Cait’s mother’s body was restored and preserved, she is presented in a dignified state, and she is given a proper remembrance by having a statue erected in her honor. Thus, she is given worth. Silco is discarded in waste; Vander’s statue is made of scraps the zaunites could get together. Silco’s plans to give Zaun its independence by using weapons like shimmer may have harmed Zaunites, but how else could he bridge the gap between them and Piltover? These people are put in an impossible position, then are expected to act “morally”.
I'll be honest, this episode makes the previous one look like a first draft. Every character looks so crisp and the animation is so confident, I was in awe watching a screw rolling around! One moment stands out in this feast of an episode: the kid looking at Jinx and reacting as she does the finger guns at her. They packed those 52 frames with so much meaning and character, it's insane. The kid just helped a stranger commit murder and was rewarded with acknowledgement and positive reinforcement. You can practically see the kid's trauma-filled neurons forming new connections and positive associations in that single second. I can't even with these animators.
This season will be the death of me no matter how it ends. Whether we get a "good" or "bad" ending, the fact that I won't see these characters on screen again after this season, is something I will never emotionally recover from lol
This show is so emotionally abusive, I’m going to need three hours of meditation and a Frieren marathon just to feel human again
you two relying on frieren for your mental health is kinda hilarious ngl, i expect the next intros to frieren to be funny because you'll be like "happy frieren friday" looking like someone just punched you in the gut. i'll probably be coming back to spain with a frieren tattoo so i can't blame you. not sure if you've watched the next arc yet so i won't say much, but the kid is a girl and i would die and killed for her.
All I can say ladies is that if this episode was mentally too much for you, oh boy!!!! Also if you have the time I cannot recommend enough that you should watch the music video for "Enemy" by Imagine Dragons, it is about Jinx. I would ask for a reaction as well but that seems too greedy lol. I bring this video up because I don't think people truly understands why VI wearing that badge is just a betrayal of monumental proportions, the video however does an excellent job of showing how much the undercity despises the Enforcers. Jinx seeing Vi in this episode breaks my heart, her screaming from anger and pain was horrible. But I LOVED the Jinx and Sevika duo, I didn't think I would but seeing as how they both cared about Silco, it was nice to see them come together.
Everything would have changed from bringing in Jinx. The finale of Season 1 was Piltover unanimously voting to give Zaun independence & access to the Hexgates(which would turn Zaun into a shipping power). It was bad timing that Jinx blew up the council. Mel, Jayce, and Caitlyn were strongly advocating for that
Silco wouldn't have given them Jinx. So unless Jayce convinced the council to make another deal, there wouldn't be no agreement.
"This is the worst episode of my life" This is the worst episode of your life SO FAR.
holy shit this is going to be brutal
Sighs.
Good, now everyone can STFU about Arcane

YAY ARCANE!! Been waiting!! 😍😍😍
LOL the way they both had to put down their coffees at the same time, when jinx spoke at the start.
Viktor is also from Zaun, so it seems all of your favorites are from there, Milena :P
