Really want you ladies to do a quick rewatch of 7-9. Especially 7. You guys were talking during the whole end scene with mark taping the picture. And it’s just some of the best stuff this show has done. His acting is amazing and the way he is describing his Gemma is the same way she describes people’s outie in the wellness sessions. Lola was busy bot believing it was ms Casey and you guys didn’t even hear him talking about her. Which is fine. Just saying it’s an amazing scene and you should give it a rewatch. Plus it’s always good to just get super refreshed. It’s been awhile in your world since you have talked about this world. Cannot wait for this show.
hey guys, can you remind me which episode did they figure out that helly might be someone important? and that ms. casey is mark’s wife? i watched the entire s1 in one sitting while synced with their full reaction from here on patreon and i somehow missed some of the pre/post-discussions now i’m kinda confused how did they guessed it, cause i did not haha. i had no idea who helly was until the final episode lmao

Best show still on tv even if waiting for a new season is like watching glaciers move. Another fantastic show John Turturro (Irving) is in that'd be well worth a watch imo is a mini series called 'The Night Of"
Reghabi says that since he's only worked for 2 years, Mark's innie is just a 'baby'. If we assume an 8 hour work day, and a normal person sleeping 8 hours a night, Mark's innie has only been 'alive' for 260 "days" (520 shifts). Following above, when Dylan lashes out he bites Milchick.... like an untrained toddler would.
I feel like I am so stupid that it took this viewing to even notice cobel said that. I mean I knew she said it but never connected the dots. I consider my not wanting figure everything out while watching a show a super power. I’m not watching to figure out what happens next I guess. Just on the journey with them. So this moment to me is one of the most effective reveals I’ve ever seen in tv. It shocked me beyond belief. And you guys figured it out 15 minutes into the episode and spent the rest of the time just thinking and talking about that line. Would recommend rewatching because the end of the episode is also just amazing acting. It’s not just some reveal. Also it almost seems like Lola knew it was ms Casey but also still wanted to be shocked by the reveal so she convinced herself it might be Helly. That was funny to me.
Was the plot twist obvious and I’m stupid or you’re incredibly smart? I’m pissed that you figured it out while i was so shocked I had my mouth open for five minutes 🤣. Btw, a very nice detail is how in Mark’s monologue, he lists some facts about his wife and says “i loved all those things about her equally”, basically “copying” Mrs Casey therapy sessions.
They picked up on that one line from Harmony - 'do you think Mark sees her?' and correctly made the right deductions. I must admit I didn't catch it on my first watch so it was a surprise but they're much better at this than I am so...

Lola, the timing is so perfect, it's scary. Arcane starts the week you finish Severance. Severance S2 starts the week you finish Arcane
Milchik supervises the severance procedure, as we saw with Helly. So Dylan would know who he is.
We don't know if he does that every time, we've only seen him do it once. We don't know when he started working at Lumon relative to Dylan either.

also: this just hit me, but didn't they mention earlier that Lumon was originally a Pharmaceutical company? In addition to those pictures of teeth, doesn't that prove your theory that they take people in near death situations to fully sever them? A corrupt private healthcare group would have all the power and facilities to administer and get away with something like severance. I wonder if this show is a take on private healthcare taken to the extreme, in extension to the commentary on capitalism.
I vaguely recall they hint Lumon started as like a tinctures and medicine company in the 1800s, yeah. Any company that sells medical procedures is definitionally a pharma company though, assuming that Lumon invented severance.
of all the twists in this show, I never would have thought you would guess ms Casey before the reveal. I'm so impressed lol. This took me by such surprise the first time I watched it.
I felt like the show pretty much revealed it when she asked his sister if he ever thinks he sees his wife. You already know it's not Helly and Ms. Casey is the natural next thought.
Sometimes I think its a shame that you guys can analyse things so cleverly coz you so often predict every single twist in TV shows, and so we don’t get to see you get surprised by the same moments that surprised us 😂
I hate Milchick, but him during the dance was one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen. And made me forget he’s a horrible person.
Milchick aggressively unlocking the door, his laniard whipping around just before he walks out, was a perfectly ridiculous way to end that scene
