You will see Oikawa’s back story later on but when he was first introduced, Kageyama said he learned to block and serve by watching Oikawa play. He never taught Kageyama personally.

Karasuno vs Aoba Johsai are simply always great matches. I would almost call the Inter-high preliminaries my favorite match between the two teams, because we see a lot of emotion and movements. I'm looking forward to the next episodes! And I find it interesting how they are already coming up with the idea that injuries could be a story element. :D

Aoba Johsai in Japanese is 青葉城西 Seijoh in Japanese is 青城 As you can notice, Seijoh is the abbreviation by taking the first and third kanji of Aoba Johsai. Kanji is one of the three scripts used in the Japanese language which are basically Chinese characters. Basically, almost every kanji character has several readings so that's why the kanji 青 in Seijoh is read differently than in Aoba but the kanji 城 maintains the reading of 'Joh'. Aoba Johsai literally means "west of Aoba Castle", which is historically known as Sendai Castle. Sendai is in Miyagi prefecture where Haikyuu takes place and it's where the prefectural tournaments happen. Seijoh translates as "Light Blue Castle" which is the same
