It's still early to talk about a good replacement fro Frieren, but keep in mind the Apothecary Diaries. Something tells me You'd love it.

I once came up with the idea that because Monster lost to Haikyuu, we should watch a crime/thriller anime like Banana Fish, Odd Taxi, Pluto, Psycho Pass (Season 1) or Erased after Frieren. But I think it would be good to have another big list of anime ranked by the Patreon people, which is why I would want to do a Short Anime Strawpoll like at the beginning of the year, so that Lola and Milena know which anime there is a lot of interest in.

When we eventually reach heaven, it will probably be the most beautiful and saddest episode of all. Frieren and Himmel, Fern and Heiter, Stark and Stoltz, Sein and .... :(

For a show that is so heartwarming, you guys sure say "I'll die" and "I'll kill myself" a whole lot!

Loved the comparison to Vinland season 2. I think the closest thing that made the feel the same way emotionally was Frieren which makes it very special.

~24 ep anime seasons that are as polished and ambitious as frieren usually take about 2 yrs of production so 2026 is a decent bet for s2. frieren’s adaptation was a perfect storm of a great director/staff + talented freelancers so getting that team aligned again might add to the wait. the series director keiichriou saitou is also in charge of another anime so who knows which is prioritized. as for vinland i wouldnt expect anything til 2026 as well. mappa still hasnt officially confirmed s3 in production yet unfortunately 😔

Usually season 2’s are like only 12 episodes so I wouldn’t be surprised if Frieren s2 only covered the Macht arc

Well, Frieren continued to fight demons after Flamme died, but stopped 500 years ago, that's all that meant. I'm pretty sure Flamme lived 1000 years ago (someone correct me if I'm wrong).

I need the second season of Frieren just like I need oxygen to live, but if I have to wait another 1 or 2 years and have the same quality as the first (or even better) I'm definitely fine with that.

Himmel and the guys really loved her with all their hearts and wanted the best for her. It fills my heart with joy seeing Frieren carrying them with her everywhere she goes.

Milena's reaction to Frieren's kiss... looks like that technique had the intended effect 😉

Lola, don’t go back and watch episode 1! Wait until you’ve seen all 28 to go back so you can fully appreciate the emotional gut punch that is watching those episodes again once you have a deeper connection with the characters, the pain 😭

Ah the scene you’re talking about Lola was when frieren recognized an old man from a village as a kid her and her original party met and the kid flipped up her skirt as a prank and Himmel yelled “you brat youve seen something I’ve been wanting to this whole time” or some thing like that 😂

I really wonder which of the next three episodes will be their favorite. They're just too good. 🥲

*SORT OF HINTING AT SPOILER* Next episode gonna kill them I think. It for sure killed me.

Fun fact! Sein's VA is the same who voices Kuroo (Nekoma) in Haikyuu :3 And I wish everyone the happiest Frieren Friday <3

To explain the misunderstanding: Episodes 11-17 are an episodic story arc. It's not a cohesive story, but several smaller stories, like getting to know Kraft, the visit to the Village of the Sword, Stark's birthday, and a few other great events to come.

Frieren Season 2 is certainly in production. There was a leak, whereby the internal productions in a few anime studios were revealed, of which Frieren was also one of them. With Vinland Saga, we are still in a black box. I imagine Mappa is using most of the animators for Chainsaw Man and Jujutsu Kaisen right now, and Vinland Saga is getting the short end of the stick, which I honestly can't understand since Vinland Saga Season 2 was a huge success despite a few fans being disappointed with the genre change. Unfortunately, the Japanese are really good at keeping secrets. I'm always amazed at how Nintendo manages to hold back big games practically 3 months before release so that nobody knows they were even in development.

Do we know for sure that the leak is true, though? I heard that at least some of the information from that leak was found to be less than credible, so I just wrote the whole thing off. In hindsight, I probably shouldn't have just assumed everything was false, but it's hard to verify leaks until the info is proven true.

unfortunately neither frieren season 2 or vinland season 3 have even been announced to even be being made

Sein’s name means “present,” like present-day. Also, I can’t imagine the crush Sein would have on Flamme
