All the names are something in German. Frieren means frozen. Himmel means heaven. Stark is strong.

The manga is written by Kanehito Yamada and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe. It is a duo. I was initially confused by the surname “Abe” because it reminded me of Rainbow Nisha, which was written by the already deceased Naoya Abe (82 years old) and illustrated by Masasumi Kakizaki.

I think Stark's voice in the English dub fits the character much more. I think Frieren and Fern are great in both. But I think Stark works much better in the English dub. If you get a chance to rewatch this episode with the English dub, I'd recommend it.
Personally, I watched the show in dub. Frieren's english voice is much more mature and better conveys her age.
That's some data privacy act shii illusion magic that Einsam is using (their memory) with no authentication factor just accessing it right away lmaooo it's bone chilling in a sense when I think about it. So it access the memory of ones who hold dearest to you, and for the longest time for Frieren it was her master, Flamme, but now it changed to Himmel 👀

Lola was spot on in the discussion, Eisen is like Stark, Which is why he wants Stark to be around frieren so she could help Stark the same way she helped him. Frieren carries Himmel with her the most. Fern Carries Hieter with her the most And Stark carries Eisen with him the most One of the many reasons I love this show.
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong but "front-liner" can be taken quite literally, they mean someone who essentially fights in the front lines when it's time for combat. It's very common in fantasy-like settings for traveling parties to have different people who have specific roles assigned to them especially when it comes to fighting scenarios. But in the end it's not an important detail that needs to be remembered in this show so it doesn't matter that much. And with this comment I'll officially shut up and release everyone from my yapping, go in peace. I hope everyone has a (hopefully) pleasant weekend :3

For them to watch two lighthearted shows at the same time feels almost blasphemous and extremely wrong given the history of this channel hahaha nonetheless, it's a welcome wave and I'll be happily and gladly enjoying every moment of it ☺️
the history of the channel is evolving at an unprecedented pace, also probably the fastest Season 1 for an anime they've ever watched that was just released a few months ago. What's hilarious is they can double that down with Apothecary Diaries next🤣 elite main character and puzzle worthy plot every episode, def up their alley
The fact that "fighting for another" is what gets defined as what makes a good warrior and not - for example - being the strongest or brave is another of the many things that stood out to me from this episode. It's a very simple but very meaningful message. Frieren is such a special show, from the way it conveys time, the soundtrack, the messages it speaks and many many other things, I love it so much. When I first started it I remember being almost afraid of being let down by a highly hyped show but not only it managed to capture me instantly, it went beyond what I expected from it and for that I'm extremely grateful to all the people that contributed to this show ❤️
Man the way I can't wait for y'all to get to every single episode! This really is a special show, and rewatching it with you both is really highlighting that.
