I had the same reaction to the episode when I watched it , I loved how dialogue heavy it is and it feels like an intense drama with comedic relief

I feel like everyone has come full circle with Jujutsu Kaisen, from overrating it a few years ago to underrating it now. I mean, it's not exactly AoT but it's also not as shallow as Demon slayer. It's a fun anime with some great characters and relationships.
i agree! idk how up their alley would be, but in terms of characters I do think they'd enjoy them, and I do think its being overhated.

I was excited for this reaction but somehow it surpassed all expectations ahaha, it’s like all the running jokes of what the girls wanted to see happened: Melody, Leorio, Kurapika, and Ging getting exactly what he deserves! The old faces reappearing is always a joy but man, Leorio punching Ging is one of those moments I’ll think about first when I think of HXH, easily one of the best in the whole show. It is like Togashi knew what the fans wanted and just went full fan-service. I knew the girls would love this last arc and there is so much more great stuff to come!

jujutsu kaisen is a little similar to demon slayer in terms of fights, BUT its also very similar to attack on titan first 3 seasons in terms of friendship, trios, sacrifice and etc so its definitely worth a shot

I was waiting for Lola's reaction to Leorio's punch. That is genuinely my favorite HunterxHunter moment of all time. Other stories should learn from this. The fans always wanted someone to punch Ging , making it Leorio , after he told him all the shit we've been feeling towards Ging but to punctuate it with Leorio showing his growth with a Sweet ass Emmitter Nen move, instead of needlessly subverting expectations cough cough Game of Thrones. Funny enough I just remembered Hisoka saying Emmitters are passionate and Hot headed and that is our boy Leorio to a T.

This is actually the most unhinged positive reaction you've ever done and I enjoyed it IMMENSELY. I always knew Lola would love the punch because of comments she'd made over the series but the highs and lows of your reactions to CAMEOS and the utter disbelief at the end really made this an all time favourite for me. Actually what really pushed it over the top for me was when credits roll and Milena goes from super happy to crying over kurapika's backside and lola goes from laughing at her to looking horrified and confused about life in general. 10/10!

Oh my god this reaction was everything I was hoping it would be hahaha, the number of times I went from laughing to crying with you both was ridiculous. Your sheer disbelief that the show was giving us a Leorio vs Ging suckerpunch had me in stitches. The reason no-one spoiled you imo is because this episode is very self contained unlike 125-6. 130-1 and 134-5, but personally I always prefer it when you have zero expectations going in so we get corkers like this. Echoing what you both said about it but what I truly love about Togashi's writing is he doesn't excuse Ging in the slightest. He makes it abundantly clear that all the suffering Gon has gone through to try and find him was not justified through some "greater purpose". Plus the cheering of the crowd after he gets hit is almost as cathartic to me as the punch itself. Perfect episode, perfect reaction. Thank you so SO much for loving this show and these boys as much as you do <3

It was a good episode but honestly no one really hyped up this episode before hand because it is relatively mid compared to the show's peak episodes. The super attachment to kurapika is pretty unique to this channel (I mean he's an okay character and we really don't see much of him) and the leorio punching ging moment was great, but the affects of the catharsis can greatly vary depending on if you were really attached to the situation or if you thought the buildup or throughline was good or not. For a lot of people, fans or other reactors, it seems to be more of a justified hype moment (the show makes no secret that ging is a terrible father) than an emotional catharsis (the throughline isn't really fleshed out, just broadly exists). Also small correction, bisky doesn't know ging personally, she just heard from netero that he's one of the strongest nen users and she knows him by reputation.
Nah I remember Rob from rttv jumping out of his chair when Kurapika showed up this episode. I had the same reaction lol. I mean he is popular. The Leorio punching Ging moment is also pretty consistently one of the most exciting reactions from just about any react channel. I agree not all of them view it as “built-up catharsis” though, so you’re right on that. Everyone agrees he deserves it regardless.
Haikyuu has Hunter exam vibes and monster has death note vibes. That’s the best way I can describe them. One is wholesome and easy to watch and the other is a dark realistic fiction that will make you think a lot. I’d prefer Monster but I’m biased. Also I’ve been waiting soooo long for this moment. Since you guys first called ging a deadbeat.🤭
Could one still like Monster if they don't like Death Note? Im thinking about watching it, but as Lola, I didn't enjoy Light's character at all and couldn't empathize with him. How does Monster handle antagonists, and female characters?
Just so you guys know as well, Ging let Leorio hit him you could tell he saw it coming and could have dodged it easily if he wanted to. Such a great moment.

Been waiting for this reaction for so long and god I've never laughed so hard. The pure shock, the hysterical laughter and nonstop crying was just so RELATABLE. I also distinctly remember Lola saying something along the lines of "I need someone to punch Ging very hard for me. ANYONE" a few episodes back, and all I could think in that moment was "Oh boy, they're gonna love this." Leorio, you will always be known as Gon's real dad.
