It always bothered me that the narrator said Meruem knocked out Meleoran before he could even think to activate his power when the show clearly shows us Meleoran taking a breath to activate his power.

Oh, but doesn't he have to say "Perfect Plan" or "God's Accomplice" after holding his breath to activate them, though? That's probably what the narrator meant. He did breathe in and you could see him starting to hold it in.
