Shogun Episode 4 Reaction

Hey girls if you’re still planning to do movie reactions in the future may I recommend The Rise of The Planet of The Apes trilogy it’s one of the most heartfelt and amazing movie trilogy ever made
Of all the movies they could pick those would be pretty darn low on my list. They still haven't done Lord of the Rings...
natto is fermented soy beans
It's really funny for me personally whenever natto is mentioned as a kind of joke in anime or whatever, where someone watching it doesn't know what natto is. Because I was lucky enough to learn about it/the cultural context through reading manga at a young age lol: specifically Fullmetal Alchemist. There were always gag comics in the back of the volumes with little joke stories. And in one of them the author said that Winry's grandma Pinako has hair like she does because it's actually natto gathered together. XD And it came with a little text box explaining what natto was and so on. That image has stuck in my brain since lmao.
Here's my reaction to episode 4! https://youtu.be/9szLRblNPX8
I really like Fuji, I'm happy she's staying around as an actual character.
The spy you saw at the end of episode 1 is the older man that spoke a little bit of English and tried to help John get on the boat to his ship in this episode. You see him several more times this episode just observing, I'd say it's fair to assume he's relaying whatever he's seeing to Torunaga. I've not watched beyond episode 4 btw so that's all conjecture on my part and no spoilers.
Yabusiege is hilarious lol dude is so two faced but in a funny way and just tryna live
Perfect casting, his facial expressions kill me lol. He's got good comedic timing
Unexpected cameo from Lola’s twirling toes 😂
This episode kinda had a calm, cozy vibe to it... until it didn't, my jaw hit the floor with that ending, my god. I loved all the interactions between Mariko and John, the bond they form feels pretty natural and well developed. Also the gift exchange with Fuji was the most wholesome thing ever
It's funny, I still think he's the least interesting character and don't really care for their relationship personally. Maybe because I guessed it would happen the second she started translating for him, so that made it feel predictable to me? Idk. I'll see how I feel as the season goes on, this is as far as I've seen.
