"Hunters are psychotic" Ding ding ding ding YES! A lot of people lose sight of that. They're not all completely psycho, but you need to have a screw lose to relish putting your life on the line for the sake of an interesting challenge. And as Morell said: Gon goes crazy with the best of them!

Monster is so good, should defo be the next anime after this. I’d love to see Code Geass or Steins Gate on the channel but I think you’d hate the fanservice weird stuff (especially in Code Geass), but the plot and ending is so so good, yous would love Lelouch😭
Code Geass has an annoying amount of fanservice but the story and characters are so damn good I have to forgive it.
Netero said this episode that graciously accepting victory wasn't what brought him joy. The fight itself is what he loves. He is the perfect balance of a man who lives for himself while not disregarding his role in society.
it really feels like pouf is the ultimate written character when even he himself would agree with people who just think he's a sociopath when a lot of his scenes is literally the opposite of that (110) (113) (128) (129) and whatever the fuck that whole episode was if you know what i mean.
A sociopath can experience ‘love’, just not in the sense that other people do. It’s more of a feeling of obsession or infatuation with a person than a true emotional connection. They would use their ‘love’ as a means of manipulation or serving themselves. If that doesn’t describe Poufs feelings for Meruem, I don’t know what does. Sociopathy is a spectrum, and extreme emotional outbursts are a trait often associated with sociopathy. Poufs an amazing character, and also definitely sociopathic in nature.
i really don't like the "he's a sociopath" talk, i get that he's trying to kill someone close to the king and he's trying to deny the king's feelings but while pitou and youpi's feelings can give them a life without the king in it, pouf has not shown anything in that regard, his life is the king's success and he sees nothing in life other than that, for pouf, while empathy and honor in Pitou and Youpi provide other chances to grasp value in life other than meruem's success. his very specific idealization gave him nothing to take value in other then the king, therefore kumogi's existence deprives him of his ONLY purpose, the only thing he cares about.
Imagine your whole life is just about one thing with no alternative values and something you can't control ( the king's feelings ) is taking that away from you, that alone puts everything pouf has done or shown into perspective, he's afraid of the only purpose in his life to be slipped away.
Fyi the flower and statue you see netero uses has ties to buddhism.

If the ultimate royal guard who has not been influenced is the one who only follows orders with no questions asked then pitou's influence is empathy for the king's feelings and youpi's influence made him spare people that are dangerous to the king wouldn't pouf's actions toward kumogi be his influence?
i love how pouf is a butterfly which is often used as a symbol for change and metamorphosis, but out of all the royal guards, he is the most resistant to the change in others. i feel like that has to be intentional
I think Youpi is the only guard (if given time) i would imagine having a life without the king.

Pouf is worried because the king is focusing on playing games and talking with a human, instead of using all his energy to be a strong king. Meanwhile, there's a fight happening between Meruem and a man who used all his energy and time to chase "ultimate power." Morell taught us that it's not just about how much nen you have, it's about strategy and experience.
Yes, and to add when the king was born his Mam said "it was still too early but he killed her." which means that this is the king's weakness: he lacks "experience" , as he sees himself as the best ever, but if he waited to completely get ready to be born, he most probably would not have any weakness
