In my opinion, Cecil is just very objective when it comes to his job. Can't really let feelings get in the way when you're supposed to keep the world safe. And to be fair, it was Mark who came to Cecil and said he'd work for him. We know as the viewer that Mark leaving Earth wasn't in bad faith but Cecil doesn't and he just can't risk another Omni-Man situation. Also, as we found out Cecil overheard Mark and his mom's conversation so he knows that Debbie considered contacting him to help out with the baby. I feel like both Mark and Amber are looking for something in their relationship that the other can't provide. It's obvious Mark is looking for normalcy but I'm not too sure what Amber is in it for. By the way, there are dozens of people on the Mark/Eve train. Perhaps Milena can be the spokesperson for our enthusiasm lol. One more thing, they recently gave an update on season 3. Voice acting is completed and it "should be sooner than season 2". Rejoice!
After seeing how good X-Men 97' looked, the studio animating Invincible should be embarassed. They have Amazon money. They have no excuse to not outsource talent to animate pivotal sequences. They made the trailer looked so good only for the show to look like ASS.

Yes you’re correct the Martians were using the Sequids as servants since they couldn’t penetrate their skin. The comics go over it in more detail. Also like the comics the show has a bunch of interconnected storylines and villains that go away and comeback always keeping the viewer/reader on their toes it’s what Robert Kirkman (the creator of Invincible) does best imo
Season 3 should be way less of a wait since they were working on it alongside Season 2. According to the creators it’s very far along. I think early 2025 is likely

I really hope we get a Rex Splode special at the beginning of the third season, similar to the Atom Eve special. We've already learnt a bit about it in this episode, but I think he deserves to have his story told in greater depth.
To provide some clarification here: When Mark was talking to Debbie about his experience in space, Cecil was listening. So he already knows about the Viltrumites and what they want from him.
Honestly while the 2 month mid-season break was kind of annoying, I think it did stress how long 2 months is and helped convey Mark's separation from everyone on earth. Also, are y'all forgetting that Cecil literally refused to call of the monster that was killing Mark in season 1? He's always been afraid of Mark being like his dad. He's manipulative as hell and often fucked up but I don't think he's acting on anything other than concern for the human race.
honestly the second half of season 2 is like 10x better than the first half and the season 2 finale is even better than the season 1 finale in my opinion. also MARK AND EVE FOR LIFE
