Suggestions for Guest Series?

Sorry for the delay in getting another guest series episode out. I was planning to record something with Connor Ruebusch, but we haven't been able to make it happen yet.

So, while I'm here to apologize I figured I would see if you all have some suggestions for topics and guests for the podcast. Let me know in the comments!

Another topic idea would be talking about physical traits in MMA, how physical traits lend themselves to certain technical fields and how x physical tools makes a fighter better at y technical skills. This also kinda ties into the cohesiveness discussion when you start looking at actual fighters. Like Aldo and Max are excellent case studies of physical gifts being maximized and used well. Chandler a slightly different case study. Can also just turn it into a discussion of how stupidly gifted some fighters were/are lol.

I genuinely think the most underrated physical freak in boxing history is manny pacquiao. Even just his skeleton structure. His wrists and head are fucking absurd. And don’t get me started on his calves. And he was physically competing with world champion Mario Barrios at age 46.

An episode dedicated to Julio Cesar Chavez His underrated defence, footwork, ridiculous lead hand versatility, etc

Two topic ideas: 1. The fighter development pyramid/development prioritization. How do you build a cohesive fighter and what does it mean to be cohesive etc. How physical traits inform fighters' games, what is an A-game and a B/C-game and how are they related, yadda yadda. 2. Max Holloway and a career retrospective on how influential his wins and losses have been on the sport. I think the two of us have talked about this one before. I personally just have a lot to say about Max lol.

Divisional evolution (improvements, stagnation & regression over last x years). Maybe with a Makovsky/somebody who competed during a golden era of their weight class who knows their stuff. Or just a regular guest if you can’t secure that I’m asking a lot lol. Paramount era matchmaking, no1 contenders being snubbed (Arman x2, Imavov, Evloev x2, O Malley over Umar also feels inevitable for later this year). Forgotten fighters. Honestly just an hour of you and a co host going “remember that guy” “oh yeah he was good” would be pretty cool

"Before They were famous" a segment taking a look at great fighters in their early careers. A good opportunity to point out the good, the bad, and what they did to make their game eventually work.
