February 18th, 2026 Dev Log (DLC Mini-Release Round Two Coming Soon?!)

Prince of Suburbia Re-Impregnation "Knock Me Up Again!" DLC

You read the title right! In the near future (timeline TBD) we're planning for a BETA second mini-release of the "Knock Me Up Again!" DLC. We'll update the graphic when timelines when we know for certain when we'll have it ready. Just like the first, this one will also be English ONLY. We are still planning on translating the game to multiple languages after development on the DLC concludes.

The reason we're doing this is because we are now working with an audio professional (HentAudio) to help tighten up and enhance all the audio we have in the DLC. We really wanted to make this happen in order to do justice by the superb animations, illustrations, and high quality all around that we're injecting into this DLC. We want to see what you think about their efforts and to get your feedback on things in general for the content in the game.

To recap what the graphic also states, this second DLC mini-release include five brand new sex scenes. The characters involved in these brand new sex scenes are: Fiona, Samantha, Sarah, Sonia, and Bastet. There will also be a teaser scene involving Catherine that will be quite impressive, hehehe.

These will all include voiced erotic moans from the lovely VAs we work with. Some if not all of the sex scenes will also include sex SFX (plaps, gushes, squirts, etc) courtesy of HentAudio.

We're still in the thick of developing the remainder of the game and are making good progress. The plan is still at the very least to have a full English release of the DLC at some point this year. Ideally we'll have a fully translated release of the DLC this year too but nothing is ever guaranteed. Thank you everyone for your patience.

I'm looking forward to this latest installment. When I first saw this game, I loved the style of artwork and the obvious effort that went into it's overall production but I was worried it wouldn't continue for long as many developers unfortunately have to abandon their projects for various reasons. Luckily, this wasn't the case here and now there's even more content for an already awesome game.

after this DLC, what are your plans?

Thank you for the question. What I know for certain after the "Knock Me Up Again!" DLC and the "I'm Pregnant" DLC development concludes then it's likely we will focus our efforts on a 2D Monster Girl Game that has been slowly cooking in the background. We also hope and plan to develop a future 2D game TBD with Auxiliaryout from scratch (hasn't been done before as he came on to the Prince of Suburbia project after the characters were already established with Scarlett Ann's art). Auxiliaryout has his own game "Her Last Piece" that he needs to finish before we can think about possible futures games with him, though.

Is there any chance for sex SFX to also be added to the main story of Suburbia? I already bought the game but I'd rather hold off on playing it until those are added.

Thank you for the question. There's a chance but it's unlikely to happen given the enormous amount of scenes in the main story. If we do decide to do that down the road it would likely be more than a year from now given the priority given to the two current DLC for Prince of Suburbia we're developing.

I'm head over heels for Naomi. Fiona isn't that important. Please, let it be Naomi, I beg you.

She'll have a threesome scene in the remainder of the DLC/full release after the next planned mini-release, so don't worry, she'll make another appearance!

If you’re not going to continue developing Shot in the Dark, then please at least suspend sales on Steam. I understand the reasons you mentioned for why development has stalled, and I genuinely sympathize with your situation. However, from a consumer’s perspective, it’s very frustrating and unpleasant to see a game that hasn’t been updated for years — with no clear indication of when (or if) development will resume — still being sold on Steam, even at a discount. It gives the impression that you intend to keep selling an unfinished game despite there being no certainty that development will ever continue. Please suspend sales until development actually resumes. If and when you restart development, you can put the game back on sale at that time.

We understand the frustration with the lack of new development. However, we won't be suspending sales on A Shot in the Dark because it is effectively a completed "Part 1" or "Season 1" as it is currently on Steam. We announced this a while back here (https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/1853830/view/516339151333753256?l=english) but maybe it's not clear as to what that exactly means. Essentially Part 1 consists entirely and only of the four chapters that are currently on Steam. The only reason it's still in early access at the moment is because we haven't uploaded the translations/code to the game as we're waiting to see what ultimately will end up happening to future development on the game as it's obviously still up in the air. Regardless, the game really isn't selling much as it is on Steam regardless because Steam has the "The last update made by the developers was over xx months ago" warning at the very top of the Store Page description. We agree with the way they handle it and it makes it pretty clear to potential customers upfront as to what the current situation is with the game. In the future, if the game ultimately does end up abandoned regarding future development, the way we would look at it is to think of it is as a season of a TV show that was canceled after the first season. Even if that TV show gets canceled/not renewed, it doesn't mean it just disappears. They continue to air it, collect royalties on their streaming deals, etc. Viewers/consumers end up having to speculate as to where things could have gone even if the story isn't completed. This sucks but it's a reality in those situations. That all being said, if the decision is to abandon the game's future development, we will announce that decision on the various platforms to include Steam. We're still waiting to see if the potential solution to the games continued development will pan out and will find out later this year if it will.
