We’re back in January! / Volvemos en enero!

(En) Hi everyone,

I’m really excited to share that in January 2027, we’ll be sharing painting and educational content again, both here on Patreon and on our new website: David Arroba Academy.

This time away has given us a chance to reflect on what we wanted to improve. Our experience on Patreon taught us a lot: some things worked well, while others weren’t organised or developed as well as we would have liked. We’ve learned from those mistakes, alongside our experience teaching at the in-person academy, to prepare for this new chapter with a clearer approach and a better structure.

We’re working towards offering the kind of teaching I’ve always wanted to provide: carefully prepared content, explanations that help you understand the decisions behind the painting, and continuity between lessons so you can keep progressing. There will also be practice-focused content to help you build on what you’ve learned and work through specific challenges.

Patreon will remain active, and we’ll run both platforms alongside each other. You’ll still be able to follow and support us here, although the new website will offer the most complete academy experience. It will allow us to organise lessons much more clearly, make the content library easier to browse, and bring our different learning options together in one place.

On the website, we’ll launch a new monthly subscription, featuring painting series, resources and a community, as well as our year-long online courses: Painting Fundamentals, Advanced Large-Scale Painting and Advanced Small-Scale Painting, with a progressive learning structure and tutoring and feedback sessions.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll explain how both platforms will work and what you can find on each, so you can choose whichever suits you best.

I wanted to share this news first with those of you who have been part of this journey. Thank you for your trust, your patience, and for helping us understand how to do things better.

I can’t wait to paint and learn together again. See you in January!
