🌸 Ryara's Fall — v0.0.4.2 RC1 - I accidentally created imaginary coworkers... YES.. {BEFORE F95}
I accidentally created imaginary coworkers.
Hello everyone!
So... developing games completely alone for long enough does weird things to your brain.
A few months ago, my workflow looked something like this:
Fix bug.
Build.
Pray.
Upload.
Find two new bugs.
Repeat.
Peak indie development.
Nothing could possibly go wrong...
Then one night...
Around 3:08 AM...
Powered almost entirely by caffeine and terrible life choices... as usual.
I found a tavern quest that was somehow paying the player twice.
I stared at the code for about twenty minutes.
Then I had what I believed was a galaxy-brain idea.
"Maybe I should create someone to review my code."
Reasonable.
Five minutes later...
"Maybe someone should review the reviewer."
Still reasonable.
Then...
"Maybe QA should argue with Programming."
...
Fast forward a few weeks...
I somehow ended up creating an entire fictional Parliament inside my Linux terminal that now refuses to let me release my own game.
...
BRUH. WHAT?
Every build now goes something like this:
Me: "I fixed the bug."
Parliament: "Evidence?"
Me: "...the code?"
Parliament: "Not enough."
Me: "I AM YOUR CREATOR! OBEY ME!"
Parliament: "Denied."
:C
At this point, I don't even know if I'm developing a visual novel anymore...
...or roleplaying an entire software bureaucracy inside my Linux terminal.
The funniest part?
I don't even get the final say anymore.
I wanted to upload RC1.
The Council looked at me and said:
DENIED
Reason:
"Missing changelog."
...
BROTHER...
I AM THE CHANGELOG.
STOP PLEASE.
:D :D :D :D
Eventually...
I surrendered.
Compile logs.
Lint reports.
QA reports.
Bug history.
Documentation.
Certificates.
Packaging.
SHA hashes.
More documentation.
...
Even more documentation.
...
WHY IS THERE MORE DOCUMENTATION?!
Somewhere along the way I realized...
I wasn't fighting bugs anymore... NO...
I was trying to convince my own imaginary Parliament that I deserved permission to press the Upload and Publish button.
Like...
Right now.
The good news?
After all that chaos...
🌸 Ryara's Fall v0.0.4.2 RC1 has officially been approved for Community QA.
Does that mean it's perfect?
Absolutely not.
My code is still held together by duct tape, prayer, coffee...
...and questionable decisions made at 3 AM (Honestly... I don't even know what day it is anymore.)
There are still improvements planned and a few documented minor issues.
The difference is...
They're documented instead of living rent-free inside my brain.
Now comes the only thing no amount of caffeine, documentation or imaginary coworkers can replace.
You.
Real players.
Real feedback.
Real bug reports.
If you somehow manage to break this build...
Congratulations.
You officially defeated an entire fictional bureaucracy uwu

✅ RC1 Approved
🏛️ Council Status
"Fine... you may upload the build."
Actual conversation with my imaginary coworkers
Me:
"I fixed the bug."
The Parliament:
"Source?"
Me:
"...trust me?"
The Parliament:
"No."
Me:
"Bruh... why? I'm tired..."
The Parliament:
"We don't care."
"Go fix them."
Now...
Go break the game.
Find bugs.
Make the Parliament angry again.
I'll probably be awake...
arguing with imaginary coworkers at 3:08 AM...
trying to convince them that this time the build is actually ready.
(They won't believe me.)
Enjoy the build!

Nice update! Thx so much for all the work you've done! ^-^ Can't wait for the next update with continuous preg and weight mechanics
More preg and weight mechanics incoming. All of my games are about that 💜 Thanks for the support ☕
How do you buy from the shops and were is the potion shop?
Sorry for the late reply! XD You can buy items from different merchants around Krownhaven, such as Boris at the Market, Zivana at the Clinic, the Black Market in the Slums, and the House of Strays (Cat Shelter). Most purchases use Gold, although some trusted merchants may also allow you to buy on Credit. Regarding the Potion Shop: Gregory's Potion Shop was moved to Veligrad, which is part of future content. In the current version, you'll find his workshop in Krownhaven, but it's closed. If you interact with it, you'll get the message: "Gregory's workshop is closed. Meet him through the story first." Later in the game, you'll unlock travel to Veligrad by obtaining a Travel Permit from the CAK Office after reaching Rank E. Thanks for asking! I hope that clears things up.
🤣🤣🤣 what an experience 🫡🫡🫡 thank you so much for your hard work with this amazing game :D
