Quick Update
A Quick Update
Hey everyone.
Yeah, sorry for ghosting these past few days.
No excuses for that .. just ... Really tired.
Ok, so let's cut the long story short. I've decided to put this story on hiatus as a Patreon-exclusive series for the time being.
Well, hold on. I am not sure I know what those set of words mean. Oh right, now I remember. As I was saying,
As you are all aware of, I've been struggling to maintain the same writing pace I've had for most of the story, and the time between updates has been getting longer and longer.
At the end of the day, I realised I've finally reached that point where I am forcing myself to produce chapters and it is ... Mentally exhausting.
Frankly at this point, I feel like it is more of an obligation than something I actually want to do and I don't want to keep stringing everyone along with increasingly long gaps between chapters because I am clear on my current state at the moment.
At the same time, I want to give this an ending, but not really a rushed one.
I currently have plans for an ending. Or it's better to say that I can see where I want it to end.
To get to that ending, it will take another twenty or thirty chapters if I don't get something else I want to fit into the puzzle but I have cracked my head all week thinking and I currently can't create the buildup I want to get to that ending.
So, rather than pretending I can maintain the previous pace or any pace for that matter as I currently am not sure when I will be able to get to it, a friend of mine advised me to take the pressure off.
The story isn't being abandoned. I'll continue working on it whenever I have the time, motivation, and ideas to do so, and chapters will still be posted here when they're ready.
However, I won't be treating it as a regularly updated Patreon series anymore because frankly, just based on the pace I am churning up chapters, it's not worth it for you guys.
Currently I can probably guarantee 5 .. maybe 6 chapters a month instead of 17 and above that I used to keep up and that's just me estimating. I can't even say I want to promise that. Who knows what will happen cause I can't say, I will suddenly get inspired and return to my old pace because ... Well, the mileage so far is way too much.
I also tried writing something else to cool off but the result when I came back to this wasn't great.
In conclusion, I know this probably isn't the update some of you were hoping for, especially after such a long run.
I honestly feel bad writing this but I think it's better to be honest about where I'm at rather than make a promise about update schedules I can't reliably keep.
As for what I'll do now .. I'll probably take a break from thinking and try my hand at something else for the meantime. Maybe re watching MHA and sorting through my MHA drafts will give me ideas.
Thank you to everyone who has stuck with the story this far.
I'll see you all when I have the next chapter.

Take your time author and take care of yourself
as long as the chapters aren't short
That’s fair do you plan on finishing the rinnegan story as well?😭if so it’s all good twin we can wait
Fair enough any of us could see you were burnt out for a while get some rest but please give us yuta and hagakure relationship
That’s the main problem with monetizing fanfic. It goes from a hobby to an obligation and most people can’t keep that up for such long periods of time without experiencing extreme burnout. I kind of figured this was coming. You aren’t a machine and keeping up the pace you had is frankly unrealistic. I will say that you probably shouldn’t keep the Patreon up until you’ve gotten past this slump. It wouldn’t be fair to the people who paid to get early access when you’re no longer writing at all. I’m sorry, but I don’t think you can keep your word about posting 5 chapters a month. If the fatigue has gotten this bad, there’s no way you can consistently produce more chapters without finally tapping out entirely. Don’t put yourself in a position where you end up unable to keep going.
I'm so sorry it turned out this way. I write my own fanfic every day too, and while I haven't experienced burnout yet, I understand how hard it is to keep up that frequency. I think the plan to take a little break and post when you feel like it is a good one. Only, it seems to me that we still need way more than 20 chapters before the finale—at least 50 chapters, minimum. Everything is just getting started, after all. Your work is magnificent, truly massive and gorgeous, and it would be such a pity if it remained unfinished right at the most interesting part. I really hope you find a way to regain your inspiration and come back to us. Good luck, and thank you!
Burn out is very much real, don’t let something you are passionate about feel like an obligation or work, because when it does then it’s no longer enjoyable. Take care of yourself and mental health.
My brother in Christ, we are fanfiction readers, anywhere from 1 to 4 months is standard for most stories updating, with plenty being longer or just wholely inconsistent. Those who update weekly or biweekly are madmen and well outside the norm, and you have maintened daily or almost daily updates for a long time, your amazing dude, but I think you've needed to slow down for a while, there is never a rush, we will happily wait months for fanfic chapters if necessary, it's part of the game, we love u dog
Hope you feel better. While I can’t say I’m not disappointed I really like your stories so if you start working on something else I’m sure it’ll be just as enjoyable.
