OUR FIRST EVER PROPER ANCHORAGE (too easy so we went expert mode)

We had a day of glass out for the sea trials, a few days on nice weather then a big southerly front came through. It was gusting up to high 30s at the headland and we were on a lee shore in the river. It wasn't so bad but it certainly wasn't pleasant, I had spent a little too long washing the boat down on the public dock and missed the last free spot in the lee of the windward side of this small section of the river to a house boat. I knew better than to anchor near a rented houseboat in a blow as old Innerbloom ended up in a tangle when one dragged onto her in fine weather here many moons ago. We had a visit from a really friendly young maritime fellow who said the best spot in this section of the river was on the opposite bank in the corner, id been spotting this spot but knew I didn't have enough swing room and was questioning depth. But with our new beaut depth sounder (lead line) functioning I checked it out and thought it was worth a crack. This is the video of that adventure!
