Important Update 10/08/2025

Hey folks, I hope you didn't think I had given up on this, because I really haven't!! I've been alluding to the fact that I have had problems with my laptop over the last couple of months and finally it gave up the ghost. Hard drive and Fan assembly need replacing. Luckily everything was saved to the cloud, so all is not lost. The laptop has been in intensive care for the last two weeks and is not yet fixed, I won't go into it as it is another ridiculous situation that has cost me so much time!!

Anyway; I have managed to borrow a very basic laptop from a friend so that I could at least get online to make this update. But, there is no way it can handle DAZ or any renders.

Bad news is that my laptop will be another 2 weeks before it is fixed. Which means I am at least 4 weeks behind on completing the first release of Shaddolands.

But, there is a light at the end of the tunnel... therefore; I have a question to ask...

I have reached a point in the story where I could release a... shall we call it a beta intro. It ends in a pretty adequate scenario and could be released, once I have finished a bit of coding. Luckily the borrowed laptop can happily support Ren'py.

Once I have finished this post, I will publish a poll for VIP members asking for your opinion on whether I should publish the "Beta intro" or wait until I get my laptop back. Please bare in mind that the latter could be at least a month before anyone will see anything of the story.

I can only apologise for this maddening situation and I hope you will all stick with me through it.
