It's finally here! It took me a while, but here's 2.0 of the Timelines mod! I gave it a bit of an overhaul.
This version of the mod includes:
🌟 NEW: Available ages up to 100!
🌟 NEW: Auto Aging with 4 different time intervals!
🌟 NEW: Buffs for more milestone ages
🌟NEW: Assign Grade Levels & Years to your Sims
🌟NEW: Assign Birth Order & Positions
🌟NEW: Assign a Generation to Your Sim (Gen 1, Gen 2, etc)
PLEASE. READ. CAREFULLY....SERIOUSLY.
New Ages?!
Yes! While many of you were satisfied with 75, I had more than a few of you ask for Elders ages to be increased. So that's what I did. Now Elders ages range from 60 all the way to 100! Did it take me a long time? Yes! But I think it's worth it for your gameplay. Your Elder Sim will also get a buff when they finally reach triple digits!
Other Age Changes in 2.0:
✳️ Toddler ages include 5 years.
✳️ Child ages now include 13 and 14 years.
✳️ Young Adults will ALWAYS have access to the Early Adult Ages (26, 27, etc..)
New Milestone Buffs:
This version of the mod introduces new milestone ages! Sims will now receive milestone buffs for the following ages:
🌟 13 years
🌟 16 years
🌟 18 years
🌟 21 years
🌟25 years
🌟 50 years
🌟 100 years
Auto Aging + Aging Intervals
This was another feature a lot of persons were asking for! After many many trial and error attempts, I finally got a working auto aging system! I recommend you turn the game's auto aging off so you can experience my auto aging feature fully. But also feel free to leave it on if that's what you're comfortable with!
🔴 HOW DOES THE AUTO AGING FEATURE WORK
My auto aging feature ONLY changes the NUMERICAL AGE of your Sim (i.e. 13 years → 14 years). It does NOT change their LIFE STAGES (i.e. Child → Teen, Adult → Elder.) You are still responsible for changing their life stages.
The auto age feature comes in FOUR intervals. Your Sims can age:
✳️ Every 2 Days → Sims change ages every 2 days.
✳️ Every 7 Days → Sims change ages every 7 days.
✳️ Every 14 Days → Sims change ages every 14 days.
✳️ Every 21 Days → Sims change ages every 21 days.
🔴 CAN I MIX AND MATCH INTERVALS?
YES! You can mix and match the intervals with different life stages. If you want your infant Sims to age every 2 days, and your teen Sims to age every 7 days, you can do that! (READ MORE ON INSTALLATION AT THE END)
Depending on the interval(s) you select, your Sim will get a notification ONE day before their age changes. Afterward, you should keep an eye on your Sim's Simology Panel where their age will change the next day!
IMPORTANT
IF YOU HAD THE MOD INSTALLED BEFORE, IN ORDER FOR AUTO AGING TO BEGIN, REMOVE YOUR SIMS' CURRENT AGES, THEN RE-ADD THEM!!!
⚠️ LIMITATIONS⚠️
🔴 Auto Aging only runs for the household you're currently playing. If you switch to another household, the timer will pause. When you come back, you'll need to reassign your Sims' ages to start the Auto Aging timer again. I'm still looking into the game files to see if I can find a workaround for this! 😕
AGING AT THE BIRTHDAY CAKE:
Your Sim will now be able to change their age number at a birthday cake! For this to work your Sim will have to select the CELEBRATE BIRTHDAY interaction (This overrides the 'Make a Wish' interaction).
🔴 NOTE: IF YOU SELECT ANY OTHTER INTERACTION, SUCH AS THE 'TASTE FROSTING' or 'BLOW OUT CANDLES' the Sim's LIFE STAGE will change as normal, and not their AGE. Be careful!
⚠️ LIMITATIONS⚠️
🔴 When your Sim comes to the end of their age cycle, YOU will have to change their life stage, then assign them the next age, for the auto aging cycle to continue.
For example:
A Teen Sim who is 19 years old, will not get another 'age' until YOU change them into a Young Adult. Then you will then have to assign them age 20, for the auto age to pick back up.
🔴 With my birthday cake add on, infants and toddlers will no longer change life stages. So you will have to change their life stage, another way. (i.e. clicking on them and selecting 'age up')
Grade Levels & Years
Credit to @minkoos for recommending this! This version of the mod also introduces Grade Levels and School Years. Levels include:
✳️ Freshman
✳️ Sophomore
✳️ Junior
✳️ Senior
You will also be able to assign them a grade year! Find the School Year & Level pie menu under the Timelines menu (once you SHIFT + CLICK)
The following grade years are available:
✳️ Kindergaten (for Toddlers)
✳️ 1st grade- 12th grade (for Child and Teen Sims)
For Young Adult to Elder Sims, they will be able to also select:
✳️ University of Britechester Graduate
✳️ Foxbury Institute Graduate
P.S. Your Sim doesn't have to be a graduate lol. Feel free to assign it as you please!
Birth Order & Positions:
I know a lot of you like to have a visual of your Sims birth orders. So this version of the mod introduces Birth Order and Positions! Positions include:
✳️ Oldest Child, Middle Child, Youngest Child, Only Child
✳️ Twins and Triplets
✳️ 1st Born-10th Born
Generations:
I didn't realize so many of you were generational players! So I incorporated 10 generation levels in this update so you can keep track with what generations your Sims are apart of. I also included traits that allow you to label your Founders and Heirs. Find the Generations pie menu under the Timelines pie menu.

Please read carefully before you even begin downloading! First and foremost:
FIRST, COMPLETELY REMOVE THE OLD VERSION OF TIMELINES IF YOU HAD IT INSTALLED!
🔴 GROUP A: If you DO NOT WANT AUTO AGING:
#1: 🟢 Simply install:
• ellesimsworld_Timelines_CORE_*REQUIRED package
• ellesimsworld_Timelines_No_Auto_Age folder.
Then YOU'RE DONE! You can install the optional add ons if you'd like!
🔴 GROUP B: IF YOU WANT AUTO AGING:

i absolutely love this thank you so much for all the hard work!! I do have a question though, would you consider doing auto aging for 4 days? I feel like 2 is too short but 7 is too long 😅
has this been updated for the latest patch?
your auto age and/or birthday cake option is a bugged mod, and does not work properly. my sim was unable to age up regularly. i removed them both, did the non-auto age, and it works fine now. just thought you should know.
can you add a time between 2-7?
Hi lovely, this mod is amazing and is so perfect! I was just wondering if by any chance you would consider making an version to auto-age every 5 days? In my aging system, 5 days is 1 year this mod is so perfect to help me keep track!
I am so amazed by how u explain everything so well. i consider myself not a new simmer since ive been playing for 4 years or more but i am really noob and consider it extremely boring to try and install mods so i play all vanilla but now ive tried to install more and oh god i love all of your mods and how theyre easy to install and great add ons to my legacy game
Hii! I absolutely love this mod and how you’ve updated it! I just got back into the Sims, and I came here to update my Timelines 1.0, and I was so shocked to see it revamped! Lol! I was wondering if it was possible for you to add a 28-day auto aging setting in the future? I’d love for my Sims to “age up” on the same day each year so I can add it to the calendar, and my Sims years are usually 4 weeks (so 28 days, each season is 1 week). Or if not, may I have your permission to edit my own files? Of course, I wouldn’t share it publicly anywhere. :)
Its such an amazing concept for a mod! I dont know if it's just me being dumb or what, but I'm having an issue where, even though I have all the life stage files in my mods folder, I only get the young adult ages and early adulthood ages as settings for sims, no matter what theyre set age is. Even for kids. I'm playing with the Non-auto aging if that helps!
Is there anything that would conflict with the auto-aging? I'm using the 21 day file, but my sims' ages are not going up.
I love the Timelines mod SO much!! Thank you!! Do you think you could add a version that adds a year every 4 days? I mainly play the Ultimate Decades challenge, where every 4 days is 1 year. :)
I’m really hoping for an update, probably in the distant future, that would allow us to edit the intervals ourselves, kind of like MCCC. 😭

Wonderful mod. Any plans to let us effect other non-active/played households? I realize the restriction of auto aging not working on a non-active household, but was bummed that I couldn't assign ages to them without switching to them.

I love the mod it's really good but setting it up manually for every Sim is very tedious. If you could add an option to automatically assign a random age to all Sims in the save file, that would be amazing and a huge help. Otherwise, great work congratulations! <3

Hi there! This is so awesome. I tried aging up my sim at the birthday cake like usual, but nothing happened? I'm not sure if this could be a conflict with another mod. I ended up aging them normally using the cheats from MC Command Center.

Yeah, this mod conflicts with any mod that affects aging on the birthday cake (i.e. Ageless Birthdays) Did you select the 'Celebrate Birthday' Interaction on the cake to change their 'age number'? Wow ! Mods creators are so amazing ! Don’t know what we would do without y’all 🙏🏾 You really give to the game the little details that make a huge difference and allow us to have better gameplay. Thank you so much ! Would it possible though in a future update to rearrange the age groups to match with real life age groups ? Toddlers from 1 to 3, add preschoolers from 3 to 5, children until 9 years old, then also add a preteen group from 10 to 13 (and maybe make it compatible with the preteen mod) and starts the teen group at 14 ? If you already talked about this before and I missed the information, sorry to bother you with that.

this is amazing but for those who play rotantially and long lifespan would it be possible to have a custom interval to the player's preferences I personally love this mod so much and it is great for gameplay for many challenges
Thank you so much! That's actually a really good suggestion. I can definitely see how a customizable interval would help. I'm not sure if it's something I can do with tuning alone (it may require scripting) but I'll look into it

This is such a creative mod and i would love to use this but I have a question. So I play rotationally. I love the idea of the automated aging (the age number) but if I play with household A and go to household B, will household A’s age number continue to change in the background even though I’m currently playing with household b? If the age number does change in the background, is there a way to turn off the automatic number aging until I’m ready to turn it on again?
That's a great question! I actually did some additional testing on this. At the moment, Auto Aging only progresses for the household you're actively in. If you switch to another household, the timer will pause instead of continuing in the background, and you'll have to re-add the 'age trait' when you load back in for the auto aging to start back up. (I know it's a bummer). Unfortunately the game doesn't consider the time between switching to be 'valid'. 😕 I'm still looking into whether there's a workaround for that somewhere in the game files. So for now, the feature works best for your currently active household.
Yay I’m excited for the birthday cake addon! Also in the future if you decide to expand on this more is it possible to auto age once a season? So every spring the sim will auto age 😅 I currently use the mod this way and have my household sims birthdays marked on the calendar to remember (aging off ofc)
Thank you! As for aging once per season, that's actually pretty close to how the current intervals are intended to work. Since the game lets you choose season lengths, you might be able to match the mod's aging interval to your season length to get that same effect. Let me know if we're on the same page lol 😅
