Upcoming Patch Update Tomorrow (January 13, 2026)

Hi everyone,

For those who don't know, tomorrow there will be a Base Game Update. This is just a reminder to:

✅ Remove your mods before updating.
✅Back up your tray and save files.
✅ Test your game/saves without mods first to make sure everything is okay.
✅ Re-enable mods in settings if it's toggled off.
✅DELETE your localthumbcache.
✅ Give modders enough time and grace to test/update their mods.

For those who don't want to update, just remember to stay offline and ensure auto updates are off.

Be sure to keep up with updates on Scarlet's Realm Mod list, HERE. Also consider my mod tracker which can be found on my website, HERE. If changes are made, then that will be updated after testing. But I'll also make an announcement here after the update when I'm done.

I started grad school this week, so I will try to test my mods and let you all know how they did with the update.

Thank you all for your patience! We'll talk soon,

— E. ✧

Hello! I have an interesting offer regarding the translation of your mods. If you’re interested, please let me know how I can contact you.

Download Be Exceptions mod and add it into your game it automatically scans your game for any broken or out of date mods. and then get mod conflict detector it’s an application you open for your computer to scan your mods folder and have a better view of what mods might be broken, out of date, or not compatible with the game. there are tutorials on youtube too just to show you how to install and what they do🫶🏽

Unfortunately, mod detectors can't tell you when mods are broken for patches. They can only tell you when you have duplicated files or you have conflicts with other mods. BE is great to detect outdated mods, but it can only do that if the outdated mod gives an error. Sometimes they don't. The patch day scanner will definitely help as well, but again it won't tell you all the updates you need.

Hi there, find the path: Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4. Your mods folder is located there. I would recommend any mod tutorial/ tutorial in general by itsmetroi on YouTube. There are many out there.
