Preview: Romantica: A Lover's Type Mod

I always thought the Romantic trait was a little too general. So, I created this mini mod that allows you to give your Sims a lover type. This mod is available for Young Adults - Elders. And it is also base game compatible!

Features include:

• Custom Lover Types
• Custom Buffs
• Custom Response Notifications

PLEASE. READ. CAREFULLY.

Lover Types:

You will be able to choose from 6 LOVER TYPES. Each comes with 7 social interactions each. They include:

• Passionate Lover: These Sims love with their whole heart. They’re intense, emotionally invested, and always ready to remind you just how deeply they feel about you.

• Gentle Lover: These Sims love with intention. They’re soft in the best way and deeply present.
• Spicy Lover: These Sims are always on timing. They’re bold and unapologetically flirty. They talk like foreplay, and flirt like they mean it.

• Possessive Lover: These Sims don’t play about who they want. They’re bold, territorial, and all about what’s theirs.

• Spoiled Lover: These Sims expect soft life romance and won’t settle for less. They know their worth and they're absolutely worth the effort. Buy the flowers, send the funds. Period.

• Nonchalant Lover: These Sims keep it cool, but don’t let the silence fool you. They feel deeply, they just don’t say it twice…or once to be honest.

Choosing a Lover Type:

To choose a lover type for your Sim, you will need to:

• Enable Cheats (CTRL+Shift+C, and type testingcheats true)
• Shift+Click on your Sim and then you will find the Romantica pie menu.
• Choose a Lover's Type from the list.

You can then look in your Sim's personality panel and find the lover type.

You can find each lover type under the Romance pie menu.

Randomizing and Removing

Under the Romantica pie menu, you can also:
• Randomize Lover Type: A random lover type will be chosen for your Sim.
• Remove Lover Type(s): This will remove all lover types from your Sim.

Custom Buffs & Notifications:

For every interaction, the Target Sim (The Sim who the interaction is done to) will receive a custom buff. For the most part these buffs will be positive. Some wholesome, others a tad spicy (I kept it cute lol):

This mod also includes custom response notifications from the Target Sim.

Optional Addon:

I also created an addon called Lovey Dovey. This addon includes 10 romantic social interactions your Sims can do. They aren't specific to any lover type, and you can download it, only if you want. The Lovey Dovey pie menu is also found under Romance.

Autonomy & Conflict:

These interactions are user directed. I noticed with custom social interactions, Sims tend to spam them regardless of the situation, so I took away the autonomy. Basically, you are in control of when and where your Sim uses the interactions. You are ALSO able to pick multiple lover types for your Sims. They do NOT conflict. The more the merrier!

Compatibility:

This mod is a standalone, so it should not conflict with any other mod.

Installing:

• Please make sure you have the MOST UPDATED version of the XML Injector. This is absolutely a requirement for my mod to work.

• Place both CORE and TUNINGS files in your mods folder (or subfolder. just make sure it's not too deep in multiple sub folders) Also add the Lovey Dovey file to your mods folder/subfolder if you'd like.

This mod is mainly for storytelling and gameplay purposes. I hope it adds some fun to your game!
