Long Overdue Update

FS25 fans,

It's hard to believe that it is already December and I haven't posted on here for over four months! With that said, there are a few things that you deserve an update on.

First and foremost, I would like to thank you for your patience as many of you know the main reason for my absence. My teenage daughter's cancer diagnosis in July caught our family completely off guard. She has been an incredible example of handling adversity head-on. She's done with 11 of her 12 scheduled chemotherapy treatments, has managed to stay in school all semester, and was even able to play catcher for her middle school softball team every game this fall with a modified protective guard over the port she has in for treatments. It has been difficult at times for her, but she is tough and determined to live as close to "normal" as she can through all of this. As long as things go as planned, she will have her last treatment next week and then scans in mid-January to see what the progress has been. Our family certainly appreciates all of the thoughts and prayers we have received from friends, family, and people like you that we don't even know. Now we are praying that the treatments have been effective, that there has not been damage to other areas, and that her scans come back clean next month. We hope that this is behind her for good very soon.

As far as Farm Sim is concerned, I'll update you all on a couple things. ThundR is getting closer to finishing up his row crop system and it is going to be an amazing addition to all maps. Once he has a version out, I will update Ray County with that feature (he is setting it up so you can choose row crop or standard when you load the map). I am also playing with a few things to try and squeeze out a few more fps and will address any bugs that have come up due to Giants updating the game. This map will get updated on my Itch.io page. I hope you are still enjoying that project.

Finally, I am excited to announce that I have been slowly, but surely, making progress on a new project! While I am not ready to share all the details of this one yet, I will tell you a couple things. One, it will be a 4x map. Secondly, it is set in Missouri, but will be a "new" map. With my current situation with work and family this project will move slowly, but will get finished and released just like every other map of mine. The process with Ray County worked well, so I plan to follow that progression with this map. Expect the first beta version to have no buildings, but have finished fields, roads, farmlands, trees, foliage, etc. Successive versions will bring lots of additions and big changes to the map. To be honest, I am almost ready to start this process! I have several things that need tested and want your opinion on to shape the map moving forward. I hope you will be a part of the process to bring another high quality 4x map to FS25. Look for information on this very soon!
