Map Progress Update: Do You Remember?

An update is long overdue, but don't worry, I'm still working hard to make progress on the map. This update will focus on the biggest remaining feature that is missing from the map: buypoints.

This is one of those areas where I get to apply my own creative touch, because there are no places to buy things on the map in real life. When I was mulling over where to put buildings and which to use, it dawned on me. I should re-create a local COOP and use it on the map. This meant a couple things. One, I needed to choose one as there are several within an hour of the area. Two, it meant that I would be spending a lot of time modeling these structures as every COOP is different from the next. This is the first map that I've avoided using generic buildings for a COOP and I'm loving how it is turning out.

It didn't take me long to come up with the perfect solution. For those of you who played Medicine Creek for FS19, you might remember a logo of a certain local COOP that was painted on the side of one of the bins on the map. You guessed it, I've decided to use Chula Farmers Cooperative as my source for buypoints. I know the owner and he was ecstatic for me to add his COOP to the map. Chula Farmers Cooperative was recently updated and is a beautiful setup of unique buildings that provide every need for our local farmers. Though it has been a huge undertaking, I've been making great progress toward bringing this setup to life on Ray County. There's still a lot to do to finish the entire COOP, but for now you can check out the latest progress. The goal is to represent this setup as accurately as possible and provide some options that add realism to your experience. I've added some comparison pictures for you to see what I'm working toward. It isn't perfect, but at least you get the idea!

I have to give a shoutout to OS Modding & Mapping for helping me with hoses and animations, LJR Modding for modeling the "Chula Farmers COOP" sign for me, and Row Crop Special for letting me use his propane and anhydrous setup. These features are incredible details and I'm excited to bring them to you.
