Loma Beta 3.0 is Here: What to Expect
First, before we go over the big changes, please read the welcome post entirely. This post is always pinned at the top of my Patreon page. It will have instructions and information on getting your latest version to work.
Now for some of the updates from beta version 2.0 to 3.0.........
1. Custom seasonal foliage. Tired of seeing the same DLC seasonal foliage on EVERY map? All the foliages on Loma are now custom and you can switch between them at any time. If you find one that you really like, you can keep it year round. The trees have been drastically adjusted and will change on their own throughout the year. Simulation Station made a video showing how to switch between the seasonal textures. Be sure to check it out using the following link https://youtu.be/uYAJ1v6qkQI?feature=shared
2. More custom buildings. All grain elevators are scaled and designed like their real life counterparts and function. Two are sellpoints and two are purchaseable storage that can also be sold on railcars. You'll notice a couple other structures as well.
3. A third farm. Another farm was added in an area that was well away from any others. It offers more scenic views and plenty of tillable ground and places to expand nearby.
4. Full custom signage. Accurate road names and authentic signage are found throughout the map. Many interpretive historical signs are there for you to check out the rich history of the area.
5. Details are starting to appear all over. From actual gravel roads, to decorative items around the farms, to crop stubble destruction, the map is starting to look polished.
6. A custom cattle feedlot. There has been SO much work put into this feature. The feedlot is modeled off of an actual operation less than an hour from Loma and features 28 lots that will hold over 600 head of cattle at one time. Even better, you can see each and every cow because of the way it is set up! All of the gates function as well as having the option to produce manure. LJR Modding has helped make custom gates, panels, and other objects that truly make this setup spectacular. On top of all of this, I have edited animals so that cows don't eat ten times what they should!!!! Hallelujah! You have the option of bulls, heifers, or calfs and can feed them just about anything that is grown in the area. Check out this video ( https://youtu.be/b5Rhr4ypJjw?feature=shared ) from Simulation Station explaining how the features of the lots work. The feedlot is still a work in progress with more changes and additions to come.
There are more things that you may notice around the map and there is still a lot left to do, but I'm confident you will be able to see and feel the progress that has been made.
As always, thank you for your support. Please, please, please post your thoughts, ideas, and any errors/bugs that you find on Discord. Now go watch the videos and read through the welcome post to get your copy!
