Warmup sketch: no penciling, erasing, or undoing. Just improv design until I decided it was done. Surprisingly difficult for me.

I concur. Wow. Just... WOW. Please take this as the high compliment it is -- you're raw talent is so awesome (in the true sense of the word) that it makes me sick. The proportions are dead on, the perspective right on... Even with blue pencil, ruler and guides and a month to work on it, I couldn't produce this level of work. I am terrified to ask the question, but I have to know; how long did this warm-up take?

I like the intricate designs you included on the staff and the clothes. They are made even more impressive when you factor in the fact that you did not erase or pencil any of it.
What's suprising is how amazingly beautiful this turns out to be. The water makes me think of the last double page of volume three of Girl Genius.
