Early designs for the "Customer Service" arc
These were my first outfit sketches for the current arc. With everyone getting "disguises" it was fun figuring out how each character would choose a new look. I pretty much nailed Elith in one go, but in fairness that had been cooking in the back of my head for a while. As always, Ling went through the most revisions, and I still really like this Gene Starwind-esque look, but it still felt too "Azazel" at a time when Ling's trying to openly embrace her femininity.
It is very funny in hindsight that here I depicting Elith as the timid one and Ling as the hothead, when those roles are very much reversed in the arc.

I love all of these but love the Giant Marshmallow Ling we got instead. I am glad you moved away from Kim's "Alternate Universe Where Hitler Won Or Something I Guess" uniform (it's the combo of jackboots and an abstract geometrical shoulder insignia, I think).
Oh don't worry that was never meant to be something permanent. In Kim's case, it was deliberately something that wouldn't be her style, since Kim's really the one in hiding. Fun fact: that outfit is actually based on the protagonist of Filibus (1915), the gender-bending air pirate who seduces everyone's daughters and robs museums.
I'm intrigued by the idea of 4-legged Melchior, but making him a unicycle was probably the funnier option.
That's quite literally what it came down to. Spider-bot felt more dehumanizing, but having him be basically a little Gizmoduck was impossible to turn down.
