Patreon Billing Change - Reminder Post

Hello All!

Final reminder about the big mandatory switch coming to our billing, which is scheduled for this coming Monday, October 26th!

For the full details of this big change, read our initial announcement here; but to summarize, here’s what you need to know:

Starting Monday, the Forgotten Adventures Patreon (not to be confused with FA Battlemaps) will be switching over to monthly subscription billing. Current tiers, both active and retired, will be converted to subscription billing.

• The amount of content we release each month will stay exactly the same!

• Existing patrons will experience zero changes in what content they receive or how much they pay each month! You will continue to pay the same amount you have currently been paying.

• For example, if you are currently supporting us at the Adventurer tier, capped to 3 creations per month, you have been paying $21, and will continue to do so.

• So long as you stay on your tier through the switch, nothing will change for you!

New Tiers

Because we are changing to a monthly subscription billing model, we need to change our tiers and tier prices. Starting after the switch, new visitors to the Patreon will see the following new tiers and monthly prices:

•  $8/mo Premium Tier: Premium Backlog + Premium Library updates, and access to Premium cloud libraries in FA Nexus, FA Studio* & Live Gallery**

•  $15/mo Pro Tier: Premium tier rewards, Dungeondraft integration, FA Nexus pro tools, FA Studio sync, FA Token Maker, and Clip Studio Paint token files

There’s a slight chance that some folks experience technical errors during the switch, if this occurs just let us know and we’ll make sure Patreon is aware of it!

Lastly, we want to answer some common questions folks have asked:

1. My current tier is ______ , will I have the same access after the switch?

   • All current and previously grandfathered tiers will remain unchanged, your access to stuff will not change at all. However, if you ever unsubscribe, you’ll need to pick one of the new tier options once you resubscribe.

2. Does this mean a subscription gives access to the entire library?

   • Yes, subscribing now already does that!

3. If I have capped the number of creations I support, will I be charged more after the switch? 

   • No you will not, whatever amount you are capped at the time of transition, that is what you will be charged for going forward with no increase.
